Jenny reviewed: Ceramic Flowers | Short Course

"This is a really enjoyable course, over two half days in a fab location. Day 1 is spent learning the basics of preparing and handling the clay and then moulding and shaping flowers, day 2 is for decorating and colouring the flowers in preparation for a final glazing. Dainiol is a great teacher, very enthusiastic and patient. I made three flowers over the session and can't wait to see how they look once glazed."

Allan & Nat reviewed: Blacksmithing one-to-one North West UK

"A fantastic way to spend a Saurday. My wife booked the day as a Christmas present for me and my son and between the two of us we didn't have an ounce of experience. The guidance and hands on help was perfect for building our confidence and we finished the day with 3 pieces of work each that we are both really pleased with. I'd have no hesitation recommending the day to anyone or going back for another day."

"Julie is a relaxed and inspiring teacher, meticulous with her explanations, patient and encouraging in her manner, navigating you through the complicated steps it takes to create stunning canal boat art in the traditional style. Whether you are interested in learning to paint in this style, or simply looking for a day sampling a craft you have never tried before, Julie's class is the perfect place to discover the craftsperson in you. I have already been on two of Julie's courses and look forward to another session in the future."

"Excellent course in a beautiful setting. Susan gives very clear instructions which are backed up with well-written handouts. Good to explore the woods for plant materials to be used in the dyeing session, this gives you ideas and the confidence for dyeing at home. Christine and Stephen reviewed: Art & Craft Days - Make a Copperfoiled Glass Heart Panel or Mirror

"Fabulous day enjoying learning how to make copper foiled hearts. We had a great day alternately relaxing and working together to create our pieces. We have been to a previous course with Carole Gray and we enjoyed it so much that here we are again! I am sure we will soon be back again. We learnt loads!! Will be practising soon on our own little pieces!! Carole is an excellent teacher, both supportive and encouraging and very helpful. As before, Brian and Julie provided excellent refreshment throughout the day so that our creative sparks never flagged! Really lovely food and we were completely full up by the time we left clutching our 'goodie bags of cakes' and our newly created masterpieces. Thank you Carole, Brian and Julie for a lovely day. See you soon :-)"

Phil Platt reviewed: Three day blacksmithing course

"With my rudimentary blacksmithing knowledge, the tool making course provided an exciting challenge in working with tool steel. The 3 days were organised well, starting with making the tools needed to produce the final tool, a hot sett. Pete demonstrated clearly the processes before we tried them for ourselves, during which he gave gentle guidance and help when necessary. The tools produced were, surprising, better than I hoped and will form the basis for long future use. The hospitality offered by Pete's wife Heather during tea breaks and lunch was fantastic with scrummy food. It was a pleasure to share experiences with the two other fellow course members and to benefit from Pete's long experience. I would recommend a 3 day course at Bluefoot Forge to anyone with any level of interest in Blacksmithing."

Lesley Stewart reviewed: Felt Pod Vessels

"Fabulous morning: challenging, stimulating, thought provoking! Superbly explained, excellent explanatory handout, loadsa lovely wools, wonderful made vessels as models, lovely garden setting (complete with hens!),plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. A lot packed into the session, though I know it's my own energy levels that let me down. For me, with some experience of felting, it was a great opportunity to have input from a truly professional and expert feltmaker artist. A privilege to share the time with Emma, and there were several aspects of the feltmaking process that I appreciated "re-learning". More please!"

Sharron Duffin reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"I had craft vouchers for Christmas and decided to do the bangle workshop. I didn't have anyone to go with so Jolene arranged for me to join up with another single and pair who were visiting. I had the best day, the other visitors were lovely and Jolene was amazing. She provided enough guidance for me to feel confident but allowed me to make my 3 bracelets on my own. I will definitely be doing other workshops. We had unlimited tea throughout the day and the best home made brownies!"
