"Great weekend for beginners and beyond...excellent tuition and Vicki and Beth give loads of support, this course is loads of fun and it's a really lovely venue, also such good value for money. Thoroughly recommend this and it's definitely worth staying the extra night before to have some to relax at the hotel :)"

Stephanie reviewed: Basic to advanced knitting workshops in Leeds City Centre

"This was exactly what I needed! I had a one-to-one session with Ann and feel much more confident as a result. She worked at my pace, answered all my questions and I am now keen to start my first item. A lovely location too, so an afternoon well spent and £15 going to a good cause."

Stuart Dearnaley reviewed: Blacksmithing one-to-one North West UK

"Had a day with Colin bought for me as a birthday present by my lovely lady, and I'm extremely grateful! I had a great day working on a variety of skills, learning more about the intriguing properties of hot steel, while getting a workout at the same time.. Colin has an excellent way of teaching, giving just enough of a task to complete at each stage, then stepping back to let you attempt it, and only stepping in to give guidance if needed.. It takes away any pressure, and makes you feel like you're developing the skills, rather than having your hand held.. I've had an interest in blacksmithing for a long time, yet this was the first time having a go.. It certainly won't be my last, and I'm sure I'll be seeing Colin again soon for more.. He's a very knowledgeable and friendly man, with good humour, exactly what you want on a day like this.. I highly recommend having a go, and if you're thinking of buying someone this as a gift, then do it! It will be very well received I'm sure.. :)"

"I am not very confident but Vicki has really looked after me and helped me so much. I wasn't sure about watercolour but it's amazing what can be achieved. I was a complete beginner and friends could not believe the standard of my work. The course which can be ongoing is worth every penny."

Yinda reviewed: Upholstery weekly classes

"I get quite a few friends laughing when I say I drive down from London on a weekly basis and have been doing so for the past three weeks to see Karen. As a self employed person I cannot take several days off to hunker down in another city so the morning short courses are totally worth it and a nice break from my routine. What is even better is it is traditional upholstery. Not a staple in sight which is exactly what I wanted. Karen is very passionate about what she does and the popularity of her courses proves it. It is a flexible way of learning a new skill and the wealth of knowledge I am currently getting from Karen is amazing."

Yinda reviewed: Saturday jewellery tuition - choose your project!

"Sam is a very patient and knowledgeable tutor. He has a lot of experience about the various techniques and problem solving. After a 1 day session I came away with a beautiful textured silver ring and very comfortable with the use of the tools, flames, solder, files, sawing and so on I drove all the way down from London and spent an entire day there which was worth it. I have since booked additional days over the next few months. The location is beautiful and the perfect learning environment."

"Must say I had the most wonderful day at Jane's place. After a warm welcome myself and the other Raku virgins settled into a relaxed, informative, busy and very productive fun day, producing work which we were all very proud of. My introduction to Raku was an eye opener, I loved it and would highly recommend Jane's course to anyone with an interest. I am now looking forward to my next visit to one of Jane's Pottery courses. Thanks Jane."

Sally Turnbull reviewed: Free-machine Embroidery Workshop with Dawn Ireland

"The course was most enjoyable, with just the right amount of instruction to enable students to produce their own pieces of work. Dawn was encouraging and made me, as a beginner, feel at ease. She provided a good workspace with loads of resources and also plenty of drinks with a gorgeous cake. I left feeling inspired and have been producing pieces of work for birthday cards at home. I would thoroughly recommend the course."

Mary Kindred reviewed: 2 Online Felt Picture Courses - Summer Storm & Raindrops on Roses

"A very enjoyable course with enthusiastic and empathetic tutor. Very good venue, detailed directions, practicalities handled well etc. Lots of demonstrations and learned new techniques. As a part-time artist, fitting in creative projects around full time work (former art teacher) I feel v frustrated not to get the same subtlety of effects through feltmaking as I might in watercolour or acrylic. It is going to take time to master this medium!"

Chrissy Blkeman reviewed: Pottery making party in lovely seaside studio

"My sister and I attended a full day workshop. Jenny gave us lots of options and design ideas and we were able to have a go on the potters wheel and to hand build pots. She took us through each stage and was fun and inspiring and coached us through the processes until we had made our 'masterpieces'. We were given refreshments throughout the day and a very nice lunch and came away feeling relaxed and satisfied with our efforts …. and surprised at what we had achieved! A special day. Thank you, Jenny!"

HELEN STARK reviewed: A snip of decoupage - beginners' workshop

"Welcomed at door by Carol would I like a tea or coffee. Shown into workroom already laid out for 4 Small numbers so lots of one to one Introduction to decoupage and the history all materials supplied and explained. Would have been useful to have been asked to bring a hairdryer as the PVA takes time to dry and only one in use by us all. Did not get to use the resin as we ran out of time but managed to finish project with just the varnish to do at home. Easy to find venue and parking on side street Would recommend to friends and would attend again."
