Stephanie Mee reviewed: Pottery wheel throwing and hand building full day

"This was a birthday present for my husband, Trevor, and it was a big hit! Richard's patience and excellent guidance has spurred Trevor on to sign up for a course. Although I was there mainly to accompany Trevor, I really enjoyed the experience. Richard is so knowledgeable and interesting and he is an expert teacher so we both managed to make some pots. We can't wait to come back and glaze them and we will want to sign up to the Raku day in May. In addition, there was plenty of tea and coffee on hand and the soup at lunchtime was delicious. All in all it was a great day and we shall definitely recommend the experience to our friends."

Jo Elliott reviewed: 2 Day Silver Jewellery Making Course - Ely

"I had a fantastic time during Jonathan's two-day course! I enjoyed every second of it - the weekend was fun, informative and practical. I love jewellery making and I will definitely continue silver-smithing now I have begun. I have had so many compliments on the three pieces I made and this was because Jonathan was only too happy to share his skills and techniques. You will not regret booking this course!"

Egle reviewed: Make your very own Tote bag

"The great experience. I definitely recommend the course as the real experience is much more helpful than theory in the book. In one day I was able to make my own tote bag without any previous leather craft knowledge. Richard was a great mentor and I was inspired to move on with my idea of designing and making the entire collection of leather accessories myself."

Georgina reviewed: Bespoke Contemporary Fine Art Encaustic Wax Workshop.

"I had the most fantastic day with Lyn a couple of weeks ago learning as a complete art beginner. Lyn is not only incredibly talented but a wonderfully fun teacher. We explored many different techniques whilst focusing on my core interest of the sea. The tips & tricks and money saving hacks that Lyn provided has made this an exciting but also realistic medium to continue. I would highly recommend this to all. Thank you so much!!!"

Sarah reviewed: Cyanotype workshop (half day)

"Lucy's Cyanotype course was just brilliant. She is a wonderful teacher and not only informed me of the incredible history of cyanotype but made every step super clear and I really felt like I had achieved a creative goal of mine by the end of the workshop. The whole vibe was friendly and relaxed and it is held in a brilliant space that helps you tap in to your creative self. There was tea and biscuits too which in my books is a big brucey bonus! Honestly cannot recommend this workshop enough."

"Fantastic. Six wonderful days. Having never worked with wood before I was introduced to some of the tools and skills needed to work with green ash, with infinite patience, care and attention. The process was fascinating. Although still very much a beginner I am delighted with my truelly comfortable chair. Added bonus is that I have returned home very much more relaxed. Thank you so so much."

"Where do I even start? I had an absolutely amazing afternoon with Julia. The time whizzed by and I'm really excited to see the final product (I only did it yesterday. They should be in the kiln as we speak!). I'm definitely going to find the time to go back so that should be enough to tell you to book on yourself!"

Yvonne King reviewed: Lino-printing onto fabric

"I found this lino printing workshop really good fun to do. Suzanne made some helpful suggestions with my design, and the lino was quite easy to work with. It was great to see the end result and have our own cards to take away."

The Arienas Collective responded:

"Hi Yvonne. How lovely to get your feedback, and thank you for taking the time. The newer style of lino we use is much easier to cut than I remember from my school days! And we love to send people home with something they've completed. Hopefully you can continue lino printing at home onto different products. Best wishes, Lynn"

Annabel Barnett reviewed: Two day Monoprint and Collagraph Print workshop

"I undertook Ruth’s two day course recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to do it again! Ruth is a great teacher; she encourages creativity, experimentation and once techniques have been explained she allows students to follow their own ideas. The work created on the first day can be incorporated into the second day and there’s plenty of opportunity to create a substantial amount of art work. She was also an excellent host offering regular refreshments, home made fridge cake and a delicious variety of fresh salads, cheese and bread for lunch. Highly recommend."

Claire Hodge reviewed: Sterling Silver Stacker Rings x 3

"A fantastic few hours spent without Jane refreshing my jewellery skills. She was extremely lovely, calm and patient showing me as many skills as she could in the time allocated. There was great communication before the course asking what I’d like to make and letting me know what materials if need to bring along. I had a craft course voucher but because I’d already got the basics I asked if they would do a one to one session and I was so appreciative that they could accommodate me. A 4hour slot was organised with one to one help. The ladies couldn’t be lovelier or more welcoming. I would recommend doing a course here."

Steward & Mclean responded:

"Glad you enjoyed the day Clair. Many thanks."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Set in an idyllic spot, even on wet November days! We had a grand time and were very well fed with homemade lunches. On top of that I created something rather lovely considering I'd not tried it before. I would definitely recommend Brenda's courses and I'm hoping to go on another one soon and learn a different technique."

Yeeun reviewed: Small Leather Goods Workshop

"I’ve really enjoyed my time making a leather belt as a gift for my boyfriend at Richard’s worshop. Richard was very welcoming and patient. He gave us interesting facts behind leather while showing us some great samples of vegetable tanned leathers. It was very relaxing workshop as it was only a group of three. I didn’t fall behind with making, as Richard was very helpful to every one of us. Also he happily answered any questions that we had. Well recommended if you are interested in making leather items!"
