"Excellent course with Lucy as always. Previous courses I have attended with Lucy have involved making or adapting things whereas this course was more theoretical although Lucy does include some practical tasks. I really enjoyed the day, learned a lot and it gave me a really good foundation in the principles of interior design, tips and 'rules' but with allowance for personal style and creativity. Lucy is always fantastically welcoming and generous with her knowledge, resources and of course food and drink! Highly recommended."

"My mum and I did this course a couple of months ago and I've been meaning to post a review since as we loved it. I've done a little bit of pottery before but learned so many new things on this course - about different types of clay and different techniques. I really enjoyed all the things we tried. I thought I would have enjoyed throwing on the wheel the most (which is what i've done before) but I really loved making a big fruit bowl sized pinch pot. The day was structured around trying different techniques, but with room for our own creativity too. Really good for anyone who wants to try different things and see what suits them. The teachers were great. Answered our many questions and were a good laugh. I actually had terrible flu at the time and was so diverted by what we were doing and the good humour it was done with that I forgot for most of the day! We will definitely be coming back for another course."

"Along with my husband & 14 yr old daughter we attended Sarah's beginners glass fusion workshop. With 6 in the class there was a great deal of 1:1 support, clear guidance on what to do & how, lots of creative input and Sarah was able to adapt to individuals requirements. We made a mixture of test pieces to learn different methods, coasters & a wall hanging & were all really pleased with our efforts. Lovely brownies were a tasty reward at lunchtime! A really different way to spend a day."

"This was my first course with Karin and I will definitely be going back again! Everything was so well organised and such fun to do too. It did not matter if you had previous needlefelting experience or not because Karin is such a responsive and adaptable teacher, everyone received teaching and support that was specific to them. We all completed our Pandas and everyone was really proud of their achievements. It was such a friendly occasion too, lots of chat and giggling and a lovely atmosphere. I would reccomend this wholeheartedly :)"

"I booked this class for my girlfriend as a present. It could not have gone better. Jane was incredibly welcoming into her lovely home. The class was very well paced. We had a mix of crafty people and total beginners but at no point was anyone struggling. It can be quite hard! You have to concentrate for a long time but Jane is very encouraging and there is a break for a very nice lunch. This makes an excellent gift for someone who is interested in arts and crafts."

"I thoroughly enjoyed this one day course and would recommend it to anyone who wants either to put the knowledge to practical use, or to someone who may just want a fun, creative day out. John, our instructor, is a very engaging, personable and a fantastic teacher. As well as being funny and engaging he is a veritable fountain of knowledge about his subject and it was fascinating to hear all about the uses of dry stone walling. It was great to get a real introduction into dry stone walling straight from the horses mouth, so to speak; getting to know all the different technical terms was brilliant. The main focus of the course however was very hands on and the majority of the time spent was on constructing our own walls with John's invaluable help and supervision throughout. This workshop will leave you as it did me, hungry for further knowledge and experience in DSW. The course also lead me to the Crossbones garden which I probably would not have discovered otherwise. It's a inspirational oasis of a place and brilliant that it has come about thanks to the efforts of some determined and committed people."
