Ruth Smith reviewed: Pembrokeshire Maddie Janes Mosaic

"Excellent wokshop. Maddie explained and demonstrated everything very clearly including how to grout our masterpieces once the glue was dry. Plenty of choice of materials. Friendly relaxed atmosphere, no rush to finish in the allotted time."

Jan Richardson reviewed: Wood turning courses

"A brilliant second days tuition. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and learned so much. I felt having two ‘students’ worked well and enjoyed the additional company . I am so pleased with my bowl and look forward to putting into practice all I have learned. Thanks also to Susan for lunch and ‘on demand’ beverages."

Tamara reviewed: Make a wish bowl with felt artist Sue Hawkmoon

"I loved the class! It was well organised and she had a good range of resources to use. The time went quickly and was used well but allowed for people to chat, ask questions and work at their own pace too. Most definitely value for money. It's the first short course that I have done so I didn't know what to expect but I loved it. An amazing venue and resource for local artists to teach / run workshops. A lady gave me a tour of the workshops and chatted with me for quite a while about the history and what's on offer. As I said, you are an amazing resource for the local and wider community! Love it!"

Pete reviewed: Stained glass leading for beginners

"I did a 1 day leading course with Jamal and what a brilliant day it was! Jamal is creative, knowledgeable highly skilled and patient. I went with an idea and a photo and came away with a piece of art! There was a large selection of different glass to choose from, both in terms of colour and texture. The studio is covered in interesting art and glasswork, made by Jamal. This was a great experience and I cannot think of a single negative thing to write. All that's left is to say Thank You!"

Jo Matthews reviewed: A relaxing day of clay making

"I’ve attended several courses now at Trisha’s beautiful home and workshop. I had no experience of pottery previously but felt very much at ease in the relaxed and informal environment. It was a totally relaxing experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. The beautiful sculptures and pots in the house are very inspiring and the day is made perfect by fantastic home made cakes and lunch. A lovely setting with a patient friendly artist makes for a perfect day. Definitely recommended."

Doug Urquhart reviewed: Pottery throwing course in the South Downs National Park (one day - one-to-one)

"I completed a 4 day one on one course with Rowena last week, and I could not have been happier. Rowena laid out a 4 day plan based on my skill set (10 months experience at night classes). I cannot believe how much I have advanced in the 4 days. Having someone critically advising the things that you're doing wrong, made such a difference. Within my week, I made straight sided vessels with lids, vases, mugs with handles and plates. Lids and handles were never my forte, but I feel more confident in attempting now. I cannot recommend enough, any number of hours or days with Rowena if you want to advance your existing throwing skills or just beginning. Wonderful company and atmosphere. Just do it!"

Anna Christodoulou reviewed: Pottery making party in lovely seaside studio

"I enjoyed the ceramics course with Jenny. I was only booked in for the morning as this was a gift bought for me last year. I think it would have been good to have had more time and to try using the wheel in the afternoon. The 2 hours did not really seem long enough for me to complete something as I would have really liked - however it was a good experience. The studio did feel a little cramped as there were 9 adults as well as the tutor. I would go back for another course with Jenny as she was very helpful and the studio was really well equipped. [NOTE: the course provider would like to add that course numbers are limited to 7, not 9 as stated]"

Diane McCollen reviewed: Bee Experience

"My family bought me a voucher for a bee experience for my birthday. I have always been interested in bees but had never thought about going to such an amazing visitors centre and been able to open up full hives of bees and watch baby bees hatching & see the queen laying her eggs, all going about their business as if we weren't there. Kath was with me throughout the experience and she was an amazing font of knowledge, answering all my questions and she let me hold frames full of bees and honey. We even found a new queen and marked her so she will be easier to spot in future. The Bee Experience lasted for over 1 hour but the time flew by. Afterwards, we tasted different honeys from different hives and the flavours were amazing. I am going to buy some vouchers as christmas presents for friends & family ( even children) as it is such an amazing experience. I would highly recommend it to anybody."

Sue Meads reviewed: Wood turning courses

"Just like old times . Thank you for a smashing day full of banter and laughter and the end product, a super bowl of which I am justifiably proud as it is the first time I have been anywhere near a lathe in two years. I think it just goes to show I must have had a damned good teacher when I started out! Thanks again to George, and , of course, Susan."

Andre Akida reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course for beginners in association with Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain

"This 2 day initial training I had with Lancashire branch was very well organised & run. The trainers were professional & friendly, they made me feel comfortable & confident with building a section of dry stone wall. I would recommend this training to any person who is interested in walling. It was great to work as a team & also to work in your own space to practise, ask & learn new techniques from others. All the participants were so helpful & friendly & nice to each other. A great 2 days in the fresh air & countryside."
