Carol Price reviewed: Glass fusing with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"I really love these courses with Patricia, I've been on a few now and every time I learn something new. I've been able to make some really beautiful items either for myself or as unique gifts for friends or family. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and also it's a fun day and at the end of it I can never quite believe I've been able to achieve something so good. The groups are a good size which means when I've had questions I've felt at ease to be able to ask them and there's a real sense of respect for each other as we learn. Patricia is an excellent teacher, she's very thoughtful, encouraging and I believe she really wants you to get the best out of your learning experience and day. Some tutors rush the group or gee everyone along at the same pace but people's abilities are all different and creatively we all discover things at our pace, I love her classes because she relates to how creatively different we can all be and celebrates that fact. Can't wait for the next one!"

Shirley Jones reviewed: Glass fusing with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"What a brilliant course, Patricia is friendly and welcoming and more than willing to pass on her knowledge and give practical help to her students. The day was packed with practical demonstrations and hands on tutoring and several pieces using the differing techniques were created by all attendees. Tea, coffee and a delicious lunch were included on the day and I absolutely loved the whole experience which gave me the opportunity to gain experience in a new craft. I will definitely be back to learn more."

"Patricia taught a group of 6 of us beginners quickly and calmly. Encouraging us to create beautiful individual art pieces. I was stunned at everyone’s work - including mine which is hanging in prime position in my lounge. It was a great day, we were taught key glass techniques whilst having a lot of fun - and delicious home cooked soups / cakes for lunch too. Definitely booking another day soon."

Nicola I Austin reviewed: Glass fusing with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"Fabulous! I arrived not really knowing what glass fusing was...and left with a bowl that I love and makes me look far more talented than I am! Patricia creates a lovely atmosphere - whether your skill is design or, like me, you just enjoy 'doing' and being tucked away in a workshop for a change of pace...this course is spot on."

"Absolutely loved this course - I am in the pics and delighted to be there! Total novice and I am really not artistic, but who cares when there's a lovely (and talented) guide to nudge you in the right direction. I have also been on Patricia's glass fusing course and will be back for more."

Karen Kime reviewed: Glass mosaic with artist Patricia Lee - as seen on BBC1 Home Is Where The Art Is

"Patricia is a great teacher. I attended the mosaics course and produced a a mosaic that I was really pleased with. The key things about Patricia's courses are that the materials she provides for you to use are really good quality; she explains things clearly and is very supportive as you work through the day; you have a finished product and the atmosphere is very positive but also fun. It sounds corny but this is really helped by the lovely hospitality - the lunch and refreshments are beautifully presented and tasty and make you feel very welcomed and comfortable. I would recommend these courses to anyone."

Ruth Holland reviewed: Beginner's Traditional Stained Glass 2 Day Course

"I spent a fantastic weekend with Gill Rogers learning about traditional stained glass techniques. The weekend was informative, relaxed and fun and I brought home a beautiful stained glass panel that I can proudly say 'I made' (with some help from Gill). I do though feel that I can have a go at home once I have bought some essential equipment; and can't wait to try out my new skills. Thank you Gill for a fabulous introduction and for giving me the confidence to have a go. Also I cannot recommend highly enough the fabulous gallery and cafe at Craft Renaissance for their hospitality and the beautiful works on show from various artists. A fantastic course in a beautiful and relaxing setting - 11/10!"

Lynn Fotheringham reviewed: Lakeland Landscape - gouache & mixed media at Cowshed Creative in the Lake District National Park

"Stunning venue in the Kentmere valley. We were warmly welcomed and shown great hospitality by the owner, George Grange. George's soups and cakes are brilliant. The watercolour course was run by Karen Lester who has the talent and skill to put everyone at their ease and help all of us, regardless of ability, learn new techniques and approaches to watercolour. The best day out; a one day holiday with wood burner, paints and cake. Who could ask for more?"

Gayle L Grindahl reviewed: Beaded flower fairy workshops

"You walk in a stranger and walk out with a new friend and an amazing fairy! Scarlet will help you no matter what you skill level is, mine is no skill at all. She has a huge selection of materials to pick from and will guide you in a way that does not make you feel like you can't do it. I live in the USA so it will be hard to go back again, but I just might find a way to do just that. It was an amazing time."

Scarlets Fairy Folk responded:

"..Thank you so much Gayle, I remember you came all the way over on holiday from America and visited with your friends to my Flower Fairy workshop, it was a grand day with lots of laughs and I ended up with friends for life from this lovely group. All your creations were beautiful. x"

Karen Birchwood reviewed: 'Clay as a Canvas' glaze decoration workshop in Tenterden, Kent

"Ceramic workshops with Kate are something I always look forward to. She is so knowledgable about her craft that I feel I can ask any question about any aspect of ceramics in general and she will have an answer for me. Kate creates a very relaxed atmosphere in which to work with a great choice of materials to use as well as interesting tools to use for mark making. The main thing, though, that I totally appreciate is that she allows me to explore my ideas and experiment, which as an artist myself is so very important. If I need any help, Kate is always on hand with excellent guidance. The whole experience is thoroughly enjoyable."

Kate Schuricht Ceramics responded:

"Thanks, Karen, it's always a pleasure to teach you and it has been really exciting to see your ceramics develop. Looking forward to some more adventures in clay with you......."

Phil Mitchell reviewed: Beaded flower fairy workshops

"My daughter had met Scarlet and seen her fairies and really wanted to have a fairy making birthday party. Scarlet kindly took her and a small group of young girls on and taught them how to make their own fairy. All the girls loved the workshop and their fairies. I was very impressed at how Scarlet maintained her calm, good humour and exuded peace and confidence in dealing with not always patient children. Would highly recommend Scarlet and her fairy making and craft courses. Also, do stock up on some fairies as they make excellent gifts for children and adults. My son, now 7, adores his fairies too, though he did not make his own! Maybe when he is older!"

Scarlets Fairy Folk responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review Philippa, It was a lovely birthday party and I was very happy to bring the workshop to your house, The children were younger than I was used to teaching but they were all lovely, well behaved and surprisingly creative in their fairy creations. x"

It’s a lovely peaceful setting, Scarlett put us at ease straight away, she was friendly, professional, informative, knowledgable and very helpful when needed but also encouraged us to attempt the tricky stuff ourselves. We had a really enjoyable time and loved the pendants that we created. We will definitely be recommending Scarlet and her various workshops to our friends."

Wendy Young reviewed: Absolute beginners beaded jewellery workshop

"Had a great day at Scarlet’s silver workshop. She was very welcoming and easy to speak with. She explained the process which made it easier to follow and everything was laid out great so you could see what tools you were going to use and talked it through with me in an easy manner to follow. I made a silver heart which I textured (there was a lot of choice for what you wanted to use) and it turned out great. I would recommend her to my friends and others."

Scarlets Fairy Folk responded:

"..Thank you so much for your lovely review Wendy, you made a lovely heart charm for your bracelet. As someone that had never done any jewellery crafts before you did very well. I am so pleased you were happy with your make. x"
