Anna reviewed: Introduction to Leatherwork

"This course was amazing! It was a great introduction to working with leather - all the tools were so interesting. I got lots of support and made a collar (with tag) and lead for my lurcher, both are gorgeous, made of lovely soft leather and ended up looking really professional. I was blown away by how talented and knowledgeable Cathy is. I could have just watched her make things for hours!! The time with Cathy was super relaxed and fun and she even had a puppy I got to stroke! Can’t thank her enough for opening up her studio to me."

Catherine Edwards Leather responded:

"Aww Anna, you've made my day! Thankyou for being such a lovely student!"

Han reviewed: Creating a Viking knife an introduction to forging and knife making at Bearded Pig Forge

"A fantastic day all round. From the moment we arrived Spike was welcoming and informative, with clear instructions through demonstration of each step and patience as he guided us through the construction of our own items. At the start we were told it’ll be the best form of therapy, well… bashing metal with a hammer all day is surprisingly therapeutic! Having never done anything like this before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but by the end of the day both myself and my dad felt really proud of the items we’d made, and gave us renewed respect for the skills and stamina involved. We thoroughly enjoyed being so engrossed in the project and seeing it evolve over the course of the day and will be recommending it to everyone we know!"

Audrey Taylor reviewed: Lace pattern porcelain ceramics in Kendal, South Lakes

"Would certainly recommend a course with Nik. Due to Covid, I was extremely lucky to have a one-to-one, as the other participants had to postpone to a later date. Nik is very thorough, explains everything well and is happy to answer any questions, or suggest alternatives - just what you need when trying out a new craft. I managed to make several pieces and decorated them ready for firing. Can't wait to see how they turn out! If you are thinking of trying porcelain clay modelling, this is the course for you - excellent!"

NIKSLOVELYART responded:

"Thank you for your kind words Audrey. I thoroughly enjoyed the 1-1 session too- you certainly nailed it getting everything made. ???"

Ana reviewed: Mosaic stepping stone workshop (PM)

"I booked this class as a gift to my Dad for Christmas and I am very glad I did. The price is very reasonable for what you get. Chrissy is very laid back and friendly and makes sure you are comfortable and welcome by offering a drink etc. The quality of instruction and materials is very high resulting in even amateur crafters such as myself being able to produce a great mosaic. The only warning I would give is that the workshop is quite small and therefore there isn't ample space for someone to move around if they have mobility issues or trouble sitting in one position for a long time. I am looking to book in again with Chrissy to try out her other workshops."
