Neil reviewed: Kitchen Knife Course

"I had a great day at Hand Forged Yorkshire. Dave is an excellent tutor and runs through everything you need to know to make a chef’s knife, guiding you at every stage. He explains different methods and benefits of different metals ensuring you understand the steel you’re using and the barriers you may encounter while working on your knife. I definitely recommend this course. I’ve now got myself a well crafted hand made chefs knife. Thanks Dave! Neil"

Sarah reviewed: Parent and child friendly pottery courses

"We would like to thank Richard for a thoroughly wonderful time. My daughter and I attended for a 3 hour workshop on throwing. Richard has a vast experience in pottery and ceramics and was able to teach us both (no easy task!) how to use the wheel to throw and make a pot! Richard is a skilled teacher and made you feel incredibly comfortable. My daughter and I were successfully able to make several pots a thing I though would not be possible! Richard also taught us other techniques for pot making during the session and we also had a chance to make a coil pot. We would highly recommend Richard and will definitely be booking again to develop our skills further. Thank you again for a lovely time."

Potterydayz responded:

"It was a pleasure to see you here at Potterydayz. thank you for taking the time to put up such a lovely review. See you all in the future for gazing the pieces."

Kitty reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"I had such a lovely time with Jules! She was a great teacher and super patient and knowledgeable with all the questions. I am so obsessed with my sea glass ring, I didn’t bring my own piece of sea glass and Jules had tons for me to choose from. I receive compliments on my ring all the time and it’s so cool to be able to say I made it. I did another session to make some stacking rings that complete my sea glass ring. I’ll definitely be back for more, hoping to do one of the 10 week courses in the future."

Preeti Bhat reviewed: Fused Glass Lanterns with Crafts in the Valley

"I came with my best friend for a 40th bday gift -it was such a wonderful relaxing way to spend a few hours. Melanie was superb, very friendly and helpful and explained the procedure very well. She also kept the hot drinks and cake/snacks coming throughout the session. We were absolute beginners to working with glass and we did fine. The workshop is bright and well ventilated and there was plenty of space and resources available. We never felt rushed and we felt so relaxed after the session. I can't wait to see our finished lanterns. I would highly recommend Melanie's courses and we hope to come to another workshop soon. thanks Melanie :)"

Roxana Stephenson reviewed: Sword Making Workshop in Grassington for 2 People

"I cannot say enough how much we loved this. I bought this as a surprise 50th birthday gift for my partner - it was the 2 day sword making course. Neither of us have an any experience at all but with Richard guiding the way, we literally made a sword. Ourselves. A sword. Like Conan the Barbarian. Richard was a wonderful teacher - nothing was awkward, or scary and it really was a lovely thing to do as a couple. We will most likely book something else to do in the future because it was worth every single penny and we loved Richard. All our friends were asking for info so if our friends aren't keeping him busy, please make sure you book!! Thank you so much xx"

Vicky reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"I absolutely loved this workshop. I have personally made sea glass rings but wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly, Jules was so helpful, informative and happy to continue her advise after the course. We had 2 rings and 1 necklace pendant being made, where she was able to work within everyone's pace. There was a lovely environment and I am very envious of her cute little garden workshop. Completly covid safe. I have told friends and family that I highly recommend the course."

Maggie Sloan reviewed: Half day cold process soap making workshop with Keri at The Soap Coach

"If you are looking for someone who who can teach you how to make soap and is able to 'debunk' all the mystery and complicated instructions you read in books then I definitely would recommend this half day soap making course with Keri. She is very warm and welcoming, has a very easy manner and no question is too silly to ask. She is very patient and because the numbers are limited on each course can give individual attention to every member. The step by step instructions are easy to understand if you just want the basics but she also has an in-depth knowledge of all the science stuff should you wish to know more. Beautiful soaps to take away. Oh and tea, cake and biscuits are a delightful bonus. Thank you Keri, I will certainly see you again. Maggie"

The Soap Coach Limited responded:

"Hi Maggie, thankyou so much for joining me and I am SO glad you enjoyed it. That was a really fun afternoon - especially the cookie wafting ? Great soaps too. Lovely to meet you and I would love to see you again. Keri"

Jane Smith reviewed: Canal art - roses and castles - decorate a plate in narrowboat decoration

"I really enjoyed Julie’s Castles and Roses course. We learned a lot about the art and set to work on a plate doing a Castle scene in the centre and with 4 roses one in each corner. I am proud of what I achieved on the day, it looks lovely and resembles the traditional Castles and Roses scene, although I didn’t think much of it at the time. I had never done anything like this before but feel that with practice it is something that I can a get better at, thanks to Julie. Thank you Julie for the inspiration."

Canal Art by Julie responded:

"Thank you Jane, that's so kind of you and I'm so pleased you enjoyed your day! Julie"
