Nicky Morley reviewed: One day fused glass course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"I was very fortunate that Paul was able to tailor the course to my needs as I have some experience and wanted to look at techniques to further my skills. Paul is a good teacher for people like myself with some previous experience as well as complete beginners. I have booked a further course with him already. It was a really enjoyable and informative day"

North Norfolk Stained Glass responded:

Stephanie Pritchard reviewed: Making a stained glass leaded panel

"We got this course as a gift for our parents. They were able to arrange a date that suited them. Caryl kept in touch and made sure they knew what to expect. My parents attended the workshop this past weekend and had a brilliant time. They clearly enjoyed the session. They both made beautiful stained glass panels. They said the group was small so they had plenty of support to make their panels. I'm very pleased we chose this gift for them. Thanks Caryl. "

Caryl Hallett Stained Glass responded:

"Hi Stephanie. Thank you for your positive review of the day. I’m so glad your parents enjoyed themselves. It was a pleasure to teach them. Caryl "

Sally and Malc reviewed: Half day pottery session, throwing and handbuilding techniques

"We recently spent a fabulous morning with Jo and Mark who gave us a fascinating introduction into the world of pottery making. They are such lovely people with a wealth of knowledge and experience (and patience!). My husband really enjoyed getting to grips with the wheel, but I very quickly surrendered to it and Jo very patiently helped me create a butter dish (to be honest she had to do most of it as she quickly realised I'm really not very creative!). We can't wait to go back to see our creations having been glazed. Really can't recommend the course highly enough, but half a day was definitely not long enough as the time flew. A massive thank you for a great experience."

Greenfield pottery responded:

"Thanks so much Sally and Malc for your great review! I'm looking forward to seeing how the butter dish comes too! "

Veronica Kincaid-Bojang reviewed: Prick and Pounce Embroidery Image Transfer Kit (UK Postage only)

"Prick&pounce set for design transfers arrived safely. Happy with the set and easy to use although there was less grey powder in the pot than the White powder.???"

Maire Curtis Lakeland Studio responded:

"Hello Veronica, Yes, this is simply matter of physics. The Charcoal is much more dense than the Kaolin and as such will settle and look less. Nonetheless, I measure these out by hand, so there is always slightly more than the 20ml anyway. Kind regards Maire"

Sioban reviewed: Fused Glass Workshop at the Warehouse

"My 11yr old daughter and I did this course together and we both really enjoyed it. Jo is a lovely person and great teacher - very relaxed and laid back which makes you feel comfortable exploring the materials etc. The workshop was delivered in Whaley Bridge which was a fab location, easy to get to with free parking. Just layer up as it gets cold in the building due to its age. We even got a hot cuppa and some biscuits to top off a wonderful experience "

Jo Turner Stained Glass responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review and really pleased that you both enjoyed the workshop, Jo :)"

Angela Houlston reviewed: Online Lino Printing Course with Oxford Linocut Workshops

"This was a most enjoyable course and a great way to learn something new. It’s really helpful to practice using my own equipment. Claire was a great teacher and has perfected the art of managing the online experience so you can see exactly what to do…probably better than face to face in fact! Thank you "

Ben reviewed: Make an Adirondack garden chair

"Had an excellent day with Andy. Learned a lot of fundamentals and techniques on different machines and came away with a lovely chair that I'll be using in the garden this summer! I definitely recommend to anyone who's looking to learn the basics or develop their skills, or anyone who'd like to own a piece of original furniture that they made by their own hand rather than bought from a website off a production line. A very rewarding experience with a great bloke! "

WoodWorker responded:

"Thxs Ben for your great review, hope u enjoy your new Adirondack Chair and sanding lol!! Take care."

Chloe reviewed: Adventures in book binding with Ali Reeve

"I've done some bookbinding at home but this workshop was quite freeing, learning where you can "cheat" or break the rules to make some quick and easy books. It was very accessible for beginners and great to get so much done in a day. I would say that the environment was quite chaotic which didn't lend itself to a calming/relaxing atmosphere, and I found it quite stressful when the table started filling up with materials and tools and I didn't really have enough space to work. I think in that space, a maximum of 8 participants would work much better; it's not an expensive day and I would have happily paid more to cover the difference for a smaller class."

Stamps Away responded:

"Hi, appreciate your feedback greatly. We hope that our price makes it accessible to more people, to start their book binding journey. And the fluid teaching with introduction of additional materials is always in response to the students who may ask questions."

Carole Bentley-Vick reviewed: Learn the Potters' Wheel in a Weekend

"I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who’s ever fancied having a go at throwing a pot. We were in a group of three and My husband and I were complete beginners. The experience was so enjoyable, friendly, informal, relaxed, totally hands on and extremely informative. Joss is an excellent teacher and by the time we got to the end of the second day we knew we had the skills to carry on making pots on our own. Then to add to the whole experience, you’re in the middle of Dartmoor, what more could you ask for"

Powdermills Pottery responded:

"Thank you, Carole - it was a joy to meet and work with you both. Happy potting!"
