Food was great and the achievement to complete a section of dry stone wall that would remain built for decades was thoroughly rewarding and enjoyable. Carl and his happy team were a delight! "The axe making course is fantastic. Andy is incredibly knowledgeable and really talks you through each step. You get to forge using the hammer and press and then go though grinding, heat treat and sharpening. At the end you get a really nice axe that you made. Be warned though, blacksmithing is highly satisfying and addictive so me and my friend will definitely be booking the knife making course later in the year. Thanks Andy, this was the best thing I've done in ages."

"Amazing experience. Honestly, my husband and I had the time of our lives making our rings. Darren is an amazing teacher and an absolute delight to talk to. We didn't want to leave!! The ring that I made turned out to be a tad small (my issue with swollen hands etc) and I messaged Darren asking if there was anything that could be done as I was so upset that I couldn't wear it comfortably! He asked us to pop back (which we did - with delight!) and he had it fitting perfectly within minutes! Can't recommend Darren enough and I can't wait to come back!!"

The course was unique as I had one to one tuition throughout and could experiment with cutting and shaping the glass. I learnt so much and came away with a lovely keepsake from the day. " I attended a Spoon carving at Walderchain Wood, Canterbury with my teenage son. We both enjoyed the day immensely. Mark is very knowledgeable and personable. He managed the expectations of everyone on the course and tailored the day to suit all students. Lunch is served which was homemade and delicious. We both left the day with a wooden spoon and will definitely be returning. "

"I really enjoyed this class! I have wanted to crochet for some time now but couldn’t get to grips with it using videos online. Bryony taught us the basics and I have been practicing, with support of online videos, and it’s going great! I might even sign up to an intermediate class soon. Bryony was so patient and clear, and helped me massively as a leftie. I recommend this class for anyone wanting to get into crochet."
