If you are planning on making the pebbles on a specific day please remember I need to post the kit to you. If you are purchasing more than one kit to the same address please contact me first so I can change the postage accordingly.
Felted wool pebbles make for beautiful natural decor around your home.
Be inspired by Jim Ede's pebble displays at Kettles Yard and land artists Andy Goldsworthy and Richard Long. Display your pebbles in a bowl or thread them onto a linen string to create a window/wall hanging for your bathroom.
Or make a tactile paperweight by felting an actual stone. Felt a few more to create a stack of stones - focussing on a single task can help concentrate the mind from the noise of the everyday. It can be extremely relaxing whilst developing a sense of patience - finding the centre point of gravity can prove tricky and requires a slow steady hand!
This kit provides you with the sufficient wool tops, wool batts, acrylic filling to create at least 5 natural coloured stones between 4-10cm in diameter or up to 10 tiny pebbles. It also includes a chunk of olive oil soap, a needle felting needle and a length of linen yarn.
You will also be provided with a link to a video tutorial on my website showing you how to create the pebbles/stones.
Depending on the speed you work at it should take you around an hour and a half to make your initial pebbles.

This was a really informative and enjoyable workshop.
I had done other felting workshops before but I’m confident this would be also be suitable for complete beginner. I was guided through a range of techniques and was able to complete a picture working alongside Heather in the second half of the video. I’d suggest not starting with a design but pausing in the middle to assemble it once you’ve seen the various ways this can be achieved. I came away with the understanding of how to make further pieces on my own and feel inspired to keep going!
I can't rate the fabulous service from Heather at Purr and Wag It highly enough. I bought the wet felted vessels package as a gift for my sister-in-law and Heather answered my initial email enquiry within minutes! I was able to choose colours, delivery preferences and add a message, which Heather popped on a gift tag. The materials were gift wrapped and sent direct to my sister-in-law. Heather emailed me, complete with photos of everything beautifully gift wrapped, to confirm it had been sent. I'm sure she's going to love it! Thank you Heather for such super, personal service.
