An evening workshop for beginners between 6pm - 9pm in the beautiful setting of Fisherton Mill in Salisbury.
What to expect:
The workshop will teach you the basic principles and terminology of weaving and you will create a small woven piece using a frame loom.
Spaces are limited to ensure so you receive as much guidance as you need.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those that have a little experience and would like a refresher.
You will have the opportunity to buy your loom at the the end of the workshop for £20. Cash is preferable.
What to bring:
Please bring along any drinks and snacks you might want during the workshop.
You will be provided with all the materials you will need for the workshop however if you have any material at home that you would like to experiment with then please feel free to bring them along.
Parking & Arrival
Please arrive in good time to ensure you have time to park before the workshop begins. There is no parking for Fisherton Mill but you can park all day in Salisbury Central Long Stay Car Park (Mill Stream Approach, Salisbury, SP1 3SL) which is just a five minute walk from Fisherton Mill.
The workshop will take place in the gallery upstairs and, as Fisherton Mill is closed at the time of the workshop, you will need to access the gallery via the metal staircase to the left of the main entrance.
I will be outside the front of the gallery to welcome you and show you up at 5.45. If you are running late, please show yourself up the metal staircase to the first floor and ring the door bell.
I like to start promptly as there is quite a lot to go through, but if you do find you are running late, please don't panic, once i've got everyone started off i'll be able to get you up to speed with the rest of the group fairly quickly.
I look forward to meeting you soon but if you have any questions beforehand, please feel free to contact me.
