Description

Make a variety of flowers, leaves and butterflies using different applique and embroidery techniques Mini course of 4 x 2hr sessions On this short course you will be shown how to make a variety of flowers, leaves and butterflies using different applique and embroidery techniques together with painting and beading. The first session will concentrate on some painting and the preparation of the pieces. The remaining sessions will focus on the stitching, embellishing, aditional painting and finishing off. Guidance will also be given on suitable mounting techniques and ideas. You will need to bring: Various cotton fabrics in colours suitable for leaves, flowers etc including black Various thread to match and compliment the above fabrics Small pieces of thin cotton wadding 1/4m of bondaweb Sewing machine with attachments including free motion foot if possible Sewing kit Masking tape Paper and pen Suitability: Adults Beginners & Those with some experience

Fridays 9th,16th,23rd, 30th June 2023 Materials provided: Rag paper Masking fluid Bleeding tissue PVA Stabiliser Angelina Some Light effects stranded embroidery yarn Materials and Equipment you need to bring: Sewing machine (capable of free-motion embroidery) Free motion foot Old brushes medium and smallish size for masking fluid Paper and thread cutting scissors Machine embroidery threads in appropriate colours including metallic if desired Light effects stranded embroidery thread in appropriate colours Seed beads and beading needle if desired Crewel needle medium size EJaRt Creative can supply these extra items.
