About the Course
This textile holiday will capture your imagination and introduce you to the colourful textiles and cultural wonders of India. We’ll enjoy the Republic Day parade in Delhi, travel on India’s fastest train to Agra and, the highlight of the tour for some, visit the Taj Mahal. In Jaipur we’ll take part in a block printing workshop and in Udaipur we’ll visit a foundation set up to teach women patchwork, applique and embroidery skills. In Ahmedabad we visit the Calico Museum, the premier textile museum of India and not forgetting, of course, a chance for some retail therapy in the markets of Mumbai!

What can I say!!! I was originally a little nervous to be travelling to India but I now would not hesitate to recommend Stitchtopia and this particular holiday to a crafting friend. We were so well looked after, the hotels were fantastic, all visits were interesting and well planned. Thank you so much for everything.

I think this was Arena's first visit to India as well as mine. It was a wonderful initiation into the culture and textiles of this colourful country. Arena always have a local guide on the tours and ours was outstanding in his knowledge of the history and textiles of the areas we visited.

Excellent in all respects - itinerary, accommodation, experts and local guide. The local guide, Nagendra Singh, was wonderful and really gave a superb dimension to the holiday with his in-depth knowledge of Indian textiles and his willingness to talk to us about any and all aspects of life in India.
