This one day course is intended for those tapestry weavers who have already moved onto their own projects, or who are wanting to do so, and would like some further inspiration and technical help. Practical demonstrations will be given when required, as well as revision of more advanced techniques already learned but perhaps not yet implemented. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss how they might develop their existing work.
Please note that this is woven tapestry, not sewing/embroidred tapestry
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 8 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring your own lunches. Yarns will be available but you are also invited to bring your own yarns to incorporate into your piece.
6 hours (10:00am to 4:00pm)

I hadn't done any painting since my school days (a long time ago!) and was pretty terrified but Janet walked everything through with such patience and encouragement I was able to get over my insecurities and paint a picture I was proud of! Everyone in the class I was in, had different insecurities but by the end everyone had painted a beautiful picture and felt confident that they could continue to grow! Her experience in painting flowers 'in the flesh' is well demonstrated and she knows how to bring out the delightful characters of every species; even the most tricky of characters! Her techniques for composition are genius!
Jill is a wonderful teacher with years of experience of glass art and teaching under her belt. Having never done anything like this before I was able to produce beautiful pieces in just a few short hours! The space at Cambridge Makers is also really lovely and welcoming and has excellent facilities.
