Stacking rings with cabochon gemstone workshop (daytime) with Beccy Gillatt at Yardley Arts Northamptonshire

On this course you will learn how to make up to three different style stacking rings and add a cabochon stone setting to one. You will learn how to do twisted, textured, die formed and plain fins. There are 8 different techniques to choose from. The following techniques will be covered: - Making and forming rings - Soldering - Planishing - Texturing - Twisting - Filing and sanding Included in the course fee: Silver to make 3 rings, Sterling silver pre-made bezel cup and a 6mm cabochon gemstone (from a selection of 10) This is a great beginners introduction to making silver jewellery but is also open to those with some experience. Bespoke course dates are available for 1:1, 1:2 or group bookings at Beccy's workshop in Yardley Hastings, your own club venue or home. Suitable for hen parties, special events, birthday celebrations and everything in between.

Maker
I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
