COVID-19 Health and Safety requirements for students: Students who have had both their vaccinations plus their booster jab, and have allowed at least 4 weeks from their booster to elapse will be accepted in the Workshop. Students will need to show evidence of the date of their booster jab on arrival. If their course date is before March 28th they will be required to wear a face mask throughout their visit. This decision is guided by current medical advice. All visitors to the Workshop are required to have a lateral flow test before leaving home on the day they have booked. If you test positive Contact Lucy to re-arrange your date. Lucy Copleston trained at the Royal College of Art and has taught the craft of jewellery making since 1975. Tuition is one-on-one so your learning is fast tracked. The aim of the course is to learn how to make a set of 3 stacking silver rings. Each ring can be individualised by using a variety of hammered textures. You will learn how to texture silver, how to form it into a ring, and how to solder, oxidise and polish your rings. You will be introduced to the fascinating craft of precious metal jewellery making using traditional techniques and hand tools, in a traditional jeweller’s workshop. The mysteries of working precious metals will be revealed! All Lucy's jewellery making courses aim to enable and support students in developing the craft of jewellery making either as a hobby or an income.
