This is a great course for a complete beginner. Mia gives background information and history of spinning and slowly introduces different basic techniques. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to try out key methods. Mia supports the learning and goes at your own pace, hands-on learning allows you to practice each step . At the end I went away with my mind buzzing and itching to get practising. I look forward to practising at home and developing a new skill !

I read Mia's reviews and they triggered me into contacting her. I was pleasantly surprised by her prompt response to my inquiry. And I was not disappointed when I attended a half day course with her. I found Mia to be attentive and patient with my queries. I enjoyed hearing about the construction of the fibres, what happens when the fibre is pulled, combed and carded; the various ways of spinning the fibres and then the plying of the fibres. I felt thoroughly inspired throughout my time with Mia. I also got to meet the alpacas and we even ate our lunch with them! What cuties they are! Mia also showed me how to care for my wheel, which I greatly appreciated. Finally, Mia offered support by e mail with any queries that I may have in the future. I want to go back for another course with Mia to learn a few more things about spinning and using fibres in other ways. I've had a great time and I will thoroughly recommend Mia to my friends who are interested in spinning. A BIG thank you Mia!

Mia is a great teacher, I had some knowledge of spinning, but needed a refresher. I learnt a lot, Mia is a font of knowledge, which she imparts in an easy and friendly way. She explained and demonstrated several techniques, I came away truly inspired! I would highly recommend Mia to anyone, from beginner upwards. Inspirational!

Mia explained fleece preparation, spinning and plying in a logical way for me as a beginner to understand the principles and feel confident to give it a go. Mia was welcoming and answered my questions patiently. I would have liked a bit more time to practise the spinning technique and look forward to my next lesson with Mia in the future. Mia offered assistance by email and also gave sources of other information for support in the meantime.
