Have you ever wanted to paint abroad? Would you like to learn how to capture your holiday memories in a travel sketchbook?
I am now running sketchbook retreats at a beautiful Andalusian avocado farm which enjoys panoramic views over the orange groves below and mountains in the distance. Within striking distance of Malaga, Katja’s family-run farm produces avocados, lemons, oranges, mandarins and pecans as well as a host of kitchen garden goodies. Farmer’s wife, Santi cooks for us and uses the farm’s produce as much as possible in her wonderful Andalusian dishes.
The elegant but homely Cortijo (farmhouse) sits amongst lush terraced gardens and a hidden pool area; below that lie the fruit trees, laid out in terraces.
Our main area of study is sketching and painting in various media and I will work with you to produce a unique and personalised visual memoir of your stay. This is a perfect experience for those of you who have never done any art and I am very experienced at working with complete beginners. You’ll get lots of attention and have fun too....in one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places I have visited!
