Join experienced jeweller/goldsmith Lindsay Forbes, jeweller and founder of Laconic jewellery, as she guides you this introduction course working with wire and silver. Learn some ring making basics; measuring your ring size, bending and shaping silver wire, basic soldering techniques, texturing techniques and finishing. These all combine to create your own unique set of silver stacking rings! You will learn how to make one ring in copper first before choosing which patterned/plain wire you'd like to create your rings in. You can expect to make between 2-3 silver rings on this course, depending upon how much time you take to make each one.

What's included in the price?

Use of required equipment/tools. All materials to make; x1 ring in copper and x2/3 rings in silver. On hand experienced tutor to instruct and guide you through the course. Tea/coffee & biscuits/cakes (vegan and gluten free snacks available).

Lindsay Forbes has worked in the jewellery industry since graduating in 3D Design in 2010. Working in a variety of areas from retail to repair, she has a great amount of knowledge in jewellery design and technical skills in goldsmithing. Following her passion for designing and making jewellery she founded her own business; Laconic. Passing on knowledge and skills is something that Lindsay enjoys doing and creating a fun, friendly environment where people can come to relax, be creative and learn.
