Silver Stacking Rings Workshop with Lindsay Forbes of Laconic

Rings ready for soldering

Join experienced jeweller/goldsmith Lindsay Forbes, jeweller and founder of Laconic jewellery, as she guides you this introduction course working with wire and silver. Learn some ring making basics; measuring your ring size, bending and shaping silver wire, basic soldering techniques, texturing techniques and finishing. These all combine to create your own unique set of silver stacking rings!

You will learn how to make one ring in copper first before choosing which patterned/plain wire you'd like to create your rings in. You can expect to make between 2-3 silver rings on this course, depending upon how much time you take to make each one.

The Venue:
Lot 64 is a craft gallery and retail space in the centre of Darlington offering a range of craft workshops. There is limited parking in and around the gallery itself. The best place to park would be at Feethams multi storey car park. It is within walking distance of the town centre, less than 10 minutes from the bus station.

Covid Safety:
Upon entering the venue there is hand sanitiser available for visitors. The craft room will be ventilated as much as possible and numbers are limited to 6 people for each class. You are asked to wear a mask for participation in this class (if everyone feels comfortable to do so, these can be removed during), unless exempt, which can be removed to drink tea/coffee. The work area and tools will be sanitised before the start of each session, I kindly ask that you sanitise the tools after use too.
