Silver precious metal clay (PMC) taster session

Silver precious metal clay (PMC) taster session

Ideal for novice crafters who want to try making silver jewellery from silver precious metal clay (PMC).

Enjoy trying out this exciting craft in a relaxed, friendly environment.

PMC comprises reclaimed silver particles (from photographic processes and old computers) mixed with organic fillers to make a fine clay, which when torched becomes 99% pure silver.

You will learn how to make charms from a range of our silicone moulds. Charms can be used for pendants, bracelets, key rings, zip pulls or a myriad of other uses. You will learn how to use the moulds, attach loops for hanging the charms, then once the clay is dry, torch fire and polish up the charms. You will then attach the jump rings and your beautiful, unique silver jewellery will be ready to wear.

Your session will begin at 11.00 am. We will break at lunch from approximately 12.00 noon and the session will finish at 2.00 pm.

Although this is not a messy craft we would recommend that you bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothing.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

PMC, moulds and findings will be supplied. Tea and coffee will be available, however please bring a packed lunch.
