Silver clay workshop at Hitchin Lavender

* All of my jewellery workshops are limited to 6 people due to the time sensitive nature of the materials we use, and all participants will be working 2 metres apart with individual tools and materials.*

In this three hour workshop, you will be taught the basics of working with silver clay with demonstrations and tips for successful jewellery making in the beautiful setting of Hitchin Lavender in Hertfordshire. You will be taught how to roll the clay, impress a design using molds of handpicked Hitchin Lavender and other nature based molds, cut, fire and finish your own .999 fine silver pendant which will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop.

I am a qualified teacher with over 15 years experience and have been teaching silver clay workshops for 7 years. My work is inspired by natural forms; mainly flowers, foliage and the seaside.

Participants should be over 16 due to the equipment used in this process. However I am happy to accept participants aged 14-15 as long as they are accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

7 grams of silver clay and jump rings.

There is an option to purchase sterling silver ear wires and box chain necklaces on the day.

Really well organised, and all the necessary equipment was provided. Pitched at an appropriate level - perfect for beginners and with room to experiment for those who are more confident at using the material. Tuuli was friendly and encouraging. It was lovely to be able to take wearable jewellery home.
