About the Course
In this taster workshop, you will create a pendant or pair of earrings from hallmark-quality silver with jeweller Anna Campbell.
You will learn how to make jewellery out of a material called silver clay, which is made up of recycled silver particles, an organic binder and water. Silver clay requires with very little equipment so it's perfect for those wanting to learn a new skill they can easily do at home.
You will be taken through all the steps to create your own piece ready for firing. The dried clay is fired with a butane torch to form it into silver (but a crème brulé torch will do the trick!). You’ll then polish your silver jewellery ready to take home.
This taster class is perfect for giving you an idea of the possibilities of this unique material. You can then choose to move on to a full-day workshop where you will make 3 different pieces (these dates are also included), or to one of our more advanced jewellery making workshops if you wish.
Spaces on our workshops are limited to allow artists to offer one-to-one help and support.
All The Arienas Collective workshop experiences are also available as a private group booking. Please email us for details.
Please note that The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor open plan reception room and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Please let us know of any food preferences or allergies when booking.

Attended the silver clay taster workshop last night- utterly blissful way to spend 3 hours! I was quite nervous attending by myself, but there was an extremely warm welcome on arival and Anna was so lovely that I felt I was with old friends within minutes. The session was so informative and I was astounded with what I made with no skills or artistic talent, and in such a short period of time. I am delighted with my silver necklaces and cannot recommend this course highly enough. I am so keen to experiment with silver clay that I`ve put it on my birthday wish list. Thank you ladies for being so talented, inspiring and just down right lovely- hope to see you again soon.

Response from The Arienas Collective:Hi Kirsty. Thanks so much for your really lovely comments. We believe there's a creative inside everyone - and we're delighted you discovered your inner creative on Anna's silver clay jewellery workshop! We hope your birthday wish comes true so you can continue making silver clay jewellery at home. Keep in touch to let us know how you get on. And we hope to welcome you back to The Arienas Collective soon. Best wishes, Lynn :-)
Had a great 3 hours at this introductory workshop. Lynn was a friendly hostess keeping us supplied with snacks, hot drinks and Anna is a very experienced qualified jeweller who guides everyone through the silver clay process and so inspired me that, within a week, I’ve already booked another of her full day workshops.
Go along, give it a try!

Response from The Arienas Collective:Thanks for your lovely review Debbie. We're so glad you enjoyed your workshop, and are looking forward to welcoming you back for the full day course with Anna. I hope you'll enjoy that just as much - and learning those new skills of mould making and stone setting! Best wishes, Lynn
Took a friend along to this on Tuesday evening for her birthday present. Enjoyed a great evening, everyone really friendly and a lovely setting to be in. The time flew by and I'm so pleased with the jewellery I made. Would definitely recommend this, and will definitely look out for the full day course. Fabulous evening, thank you so much.

What a fabulous day this was. A group of us had got together to celebrate a (big) birthday and we each designed and made a necklace for ourselves and a special charm for the birthday girl (- before celebrating with a glass of fizz which was included for the occasion!), We all went away feeling inspired to do more - and I have been wearing my necklace ever since. The process was made remarkably easy as we were taken though it step by step. Although it is described as a taster workshop, we all produced amazing jewellery, and its definitely inspired me to go on and do more.

Response from The Arienas Collective:Thanks for your feedback Anne. A silver clay taster workshop is a fabulous way to celebrate a special birthday occasion, and we do always include a glass of fizz and cake too for private groups like this one. We enjoy running these so much, and you all made such amazing jewellery - as well as having a lot of fun! I'm glad it's inspired you to continue, and we look forward to welcoming you back to learn some new silver clay skills with Anna! Best wishes, Lynn :-)
