Personalised Jewellery - Pendant and Earrings

Description

You will be able to make a pendant and a pair of earrings, personalised to your own design in either copper or silver or a combination of the two. You will be able to choose from a variety of different sizes and shapes to create your design on - this could be hearts, circles, squares or diamond-shaped. For example you could create a textured heart pendant with someone's initials on for valentines day. You can create your design using hand-punches - of which we have many hundreds of all different designs, including hearts, letters, flowers, crowns, stars etc. etc.) Group bookings are welcome. What's included in the price?

All tools and materials are provided. Turn up ready for a 6pm start with clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, and shoes suitable for a workshop (not flip-flops or sandals). Your legs need to be covered and please bring an apron if you have one. Long hair must be tied back and bring reading glasses if you use them.

The craft courses are held at Devon's only Medal Mint. Bigbury Mint has been established since 1980 and creates medals for both military and commission clients. They also create their own bespoke jewellery and heritage gifts. Medal-making requires us to learn many different craft skills, some of which could be ‘lost’ as technologies change. We think it’s important to take the trouble to teach and pass on these skills and techniques.
