Lost wax carving jewellery workshop

A few designs made in jewellers wax, a couple of finished pieces and some of the tools used on this course.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at making your own jewellery? With this fun, relaxed two hour session you will be guided through the basics of hand carving a ring or pendant to your own design using jewellers wax.
You have the option to make one of the following:
1. one ring
2. one large pendant (3cm by 1.5cm)
3. two small pendants (1.5cm by 1.5cm each)

Using this ancient technique of lost wax casting you will be taught how to create your own ring or pendant using a range of simple tools.

Your final wax master will be sent away for casting in sterling silver. Your final piece will then be hand-finished and posted back to you within 3 weeks.

NB: This course is for a maximum of 6 participants to ensure compliance with social distancing guidelines.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

Cost includes all materials, tuition, casting of your ring or pendant in sterling silver and return tracked postage to you.
You may wish to bring an apron, as the blue wax dust does tend to go everywhere!

Very good attentive tutor and a great place to start an interest in jewellery design.

This was such an excellent course. Angela was super knowledgeable, helpful, very kind and really patient. I would take a course again with her in a heartbeat. Despite me actually accidentally ruining my work, she helped me start again and make something I really like.

Also, her personal work is amazingly beautiful.
