Description

Learn how to sew your own lined curtains. This workshop covers the basic principles of curtain making, you will be shown how to measure a window, decide what length curtain, where to place the rail or pole and how to estimate fabric requirements. We will then machine sew a fully lined sample curtain using a pencil pleat heading tape, adding the finishing touch of a hand sewn mitred corner which gives a beautiful professional look You will need to be able to use your machine for basic stitching. You can always attend our "Get to know your Sewing Machine" workshop to learn how to do this before getting started on your curtain making, if you are new to sewing. All fabrics are included for your sample curtain Bring your own machine and neutral thread, or alternatively hire one for the workshop, (please advise on booking if you require a machine)

All materials Sewing accessories (pins/scissors etc) are available to use Tea/coffee/biscuits You will need to bring your own machine and thread (unless hiring a machine)

Yes, there is free parking outside the hall

Unfortunately not - there are limited spaces for all of my workshops and they get booked up quite quickly, so to avoid disappointment you will need to book beforehand

If you have a machine, then it is best to bring this along - please make sure it is in good working order

If you do not have a machine, you can hire a machine for the duration of the workshop for a minimal fee paid on the day, please let me know at the time of booking
