Landscape Drawing

Description

Drawing is such an important part of my process now. As soon as I learned how to draw for fun and take away the fear of going wrong, my drawing and painting improved immediately. Spend a day in the studio, using a variety of materials and tools to find your style, develop your skills and learn to draw in a free and fearless way. This is a lovely day of exploration. Using the landscape as our inspiration, we will work from images provided in the studio, or any images you would like to bring with you.

What's included in the price?

All materials are included as well a refreshments throughout the day. Feel free to bring some lunch to the studio, or visit the deli or tea rooms in the courtyard. Both are excellent.

I study landscapes, weather and seasonal change with a strong emphasis on colour. Currently I am painting with oils, but I regularly produce work with oil pastels, acrylics and inks. My love of the landscape and the ever changing weather conditions are my starting point, developing my work through sketches that explore composition and colour. From here, I work to create vivid and stimulating final pieces.

"I attended Laura's Colour Loves Colour Abstract Acrylic Painting workshop at her Studio - what a fantastic experience! I'm a complete beginner, and Laura worked with us to create some fab paintings, and teach us lots of really useful techniques and tricks! All of the paint and equipment was supplied, with plenty of tea and coffee provided throughout :-) Laura has a wonderful spirit and is very passionate about art and it made me feel very relaxed - it was an incredibly relaxing day (in beautiful surroundings too!) "If I could give 10 ⭐️ I would. The course was absolutely brilliant. Laura was an enthusiastic, friendly, patient tutor and the studio is a delight to work in. I have no experience in any sort of painting but this didn’t matter in the slightest. It was well worth the money and I’ve already booked onto another course. I LOVED IT. "
