In this highly requested workshop, you will learn to carve, shape and manipulate jeweller's wax to create your dream ring, which will then be sent off to be cast in silver. (Gold can also be provided at an additional cost which will be established on the day and dependent on the weight of your wax piece.)
You will not require any previous metalwork or jewellery making experience, as you will be taught everything and will have me on hand all through the class to guide you along the way. There will also be the opportunity at the beginning of the class for you to take time to draw some designs and have a play about with your imagination!
You'll be working with a 5mm wide wax ring blank, however, if you like your rings a little chunkier or even of the signet variety, signet ring wax blanks are also available at an additional cost of £25 including casting in sterling silver. If you'd like to carve more than one ring on the day, each additional piece sent for casting will cost £40 (this includes both the cost of the wax and of the casting itself).
All prices include tracked postage back to you once your beautiful silver rings are ready to be sent.
Please get in touch if you'd like to opt for carving a signet ring so I can be sure to have enough supplies available on the day!
This is a super chilled out workshop, where you can take your time with your piece to really create something you love.
I'm SO excited to be able to offer this course and can't wait to meet you and see what beauties you create!
Refunds are not available on this booking. Start dates may be amended on request.
All tools are included, as is the cost of casting one ring in sterling silver. This will not be done in house but at a professional casting company, after which the ring will be polished and sent out to you by tracked post.
