I really enjoyed this weekend even though it has been challenging for me ... I feel like I have learned a tremendous amount. Thank you for your patience ... I'd like to do more courses with you both, perhaps in Feb. 19 ...
An ingenious and unified way to bring two cultural traditions together with massive potential for new exploration.
Adam Tetlow's Integrating Celtic and Islamic Pattern course is completely accessible to the novice illustrator and reveals the hidden bridge between two seemingly different realms of pattern and design. The range of possibility that can be explored through the blending of these beautiful traditional arts is so inspiring! I greatly appreciate Adam, in all of his patience and good humour, as one of the few remaining teachers in this field of study and SAOG Studios for providing a peaceful and supportive space for the inquisitive artist!
It doesn't get better than having Adam Tetlow as your guide into the world of Celtic art while being in the beautiful surroundings of Forest Row. This two-day workshop about combining Celtic and Islamic patters was great. Thank you! We'll be back.
I'm writing to tell you how much I enjoyed the workshop, what a treat to be immersed in celtic geometry and cosmic measure for three whole days. The learning environment there is really special and SAOG Studios is a joy to work in.
I'm very much looking forward to further workshops with you.
I really enjoyed working with Adam, and the experience was very much enriched by his depth and breadth of knowledge on the subject.
I enjoyed everybody's contributions ... and I'm confident to get going on my own now ...'

Great course, Adam took us through Celtic knot principles and then led us into the development of the complex DaVinci and Durer knots so we could see how to analyse further patterns after the course. Adam teaches at a great pace and is very patient with all our questions!
'Adam Tetlow is a fantastic teacher of this beautiful, ancient art form. The clear descriptions, detailed illustrations and patient explanations made this course a success for me.
I greatly enjoyed it!'
