Course Start DatesSaturday 29th February 2020
About the Course
I'm working with Les Caves de Pyrene as part of their community collaboration to bring you a giant knitting workshop followed by a mini wine tasting! Located just outside of Guildford, the class will take place right in the shop amongst their antique fittings and gorgeous wines! You'll be crafting on the trestle tables, so they'll be plenty of room!
During the class I will teach you how to hand knit your very own snuggly, giant knit blanket, using just your hands! You'll learn to cast on and knit your blanket, and cast off using just your hands. You'll then learn how to felt in the ends to finish your blanket.
By the end of the lesson you will come away with small blanket (roughly: 100x70cm).
After you have completed your blanket you'll be invited to sample some of Les Caves de Pyrene's wines, who are leading the way in ‘natural’ wines: those that are expressive of their homeland; wines made by hand with minimal chemical intervention; and where the winemaking shows maximum respect for the environment.
Refreshments are included. Free parking.
Please note: this course is suitable for ages 18 and above due to the wine tasting.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?

However, we understand that wool is not suitable for everyone, if you are vegan, have wool allergies, or you would prefer to use a man made material, please get in touch so we can source an alternative for you, please note we will need at a minimum 14 days notice to source alternatives for you.
Really enjoyable course and riveting to produce such a nice piece of craft from it! Very fairly priced considering the materials are very costly ....I might just do this course again!!
