About the Course

Have you always wanted to make your own prints but didn't know where to start?
We have a range of full day courses designed for complete beginners and those wanting a refresher.

You can create a set of paper prints ready to frame, or learn how to produce a repeat print onto fabric by using the traditional technique of cut stencils. Or even taking your repeat fabric design and making it into a lampshade. If drawing is something you love, why not transform a black and white drawing into a screen print through our exposure screen printing workshop.

Stencil screen printing onto paper.
Explore and learn the basics of screen printing making hand cut stencils. Using your own drawing, discover and learn how to transform your design into a 1-3 colour screen print. Screen printing onto a range of papers, to take home and frame.

Stencil screen printing a repeat onto fabric.
This workshop will show you how to screen print a 2 colour repeat pattern design onto fabric using paper cut stencils. Focusing on how to measure, aline your design. You will learn how to transform your own drawing into a basic cut stencil, mixing fabric colour, prepare your fabric and print a repeat pattern. A fun, experimental workshop packed full of information and finishing with a fabric panel ready to be made into various homewares of your choice.

Exposure screen printing onto paper and fabric.
If you have never explored exposure screen printing, this is a great way to get you started and learn the basic principles, in a fun and experimental environment. This step-by-step workshop guides you through creating your own hand drawn design to exposing it onto a screen and printing onto samples of fabric and paper.

Print & make your own lampshade
This is a fun and creative workshop with a difference. You will create a hand cut stencil, to be printed as a repeat across a length of fabric, the fabric will be enough to create a 25cm diameter lampshade. You can pick to make your lampshade to hang from the ceiling or for a lamp base.

Want to review this course?

I had such a wonderful time learning how to screen print at Kiwi. It's a lovely bright and colourful studio with very friendly and attentive teachers and technicians. Having not been a very confident drawer I was happy to learn that this wasn't a necessary skill and screen printing can be very versatile to all skill levels, I had such a great time and would recommend to anyone looking for something different to do when in Cornwall.
Absolutely loved it!
