Design for Makers

aluminium brooch

I have just finished running ‘An Introduction to Design’ online course and have been delighted by the students response – it has been a truly inspiring experience. I had been mulling over running such a course for several years and Zoom appears to be the perfect platform for delivering it. There is time to think and consider between sessions and no need to travel either. The course is spread over four weeks with two, approximately two hour sessions a week, one session a presentation with set tasks to work on in your own time and the second, a feedback and discussion session. The sessions are arranged at mutually convenient times. The aim of the course is to help students, especially those self taught, develop a more considered and professional approach to their making process. I limit the number of students to 8 in order to create a small group to work together as a team. I have a few students interested in my next session which I will run when I get a full complement of 8.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
