This one to one private course is 3hrs in duration. Claire Newberry will take you through a more in depth instruction on any machine knitting subject you need help with. This could be getting to know your machine for the first time, if you are an absolute beginner, right through to learning more in-depth features of your knitting equipment for the more advanced knitter. It may be help with DesignaKnit 8 or 9 & getting to grips with designing patterns on this vast knitting software or learning to to use your ribber more effectively. Any aspect of the machine can be covered. This is your time devoted to you & what you want to learn. Prior to the lesson Claire will ask you to list down the topic areas you want to cover in the session. A lesson plan will then be devised especially for you so learning is prepared & to the point. Learning is at your own pace & geared to your level. What you will learn: How to use your own knitting machine more effectively. Have the knowledge & confidence to carry out your own knitting projects with your new found techniques learnt during the course. Learning outcomes: You will come away from the session with a new found knowledge of your knitting machine & you will have the confidence to tackle your own projects in the future. Tutor Claire Newberry lectures at the world renowned Nottingham Trent University on their BA Hons Fashion Knitwear Design Course & also lectures at DeMontfort on their BA Hons Textile Design Course. Claire is also a knitwear designer to the industry & regularly sells knitwear design concepts to the industry selling design concepts to fashion houses around the world. She has 30yrs experience designing & lecturing.

Your own knitting machine &/or attachments are preferable to get the most out of this course. Suitable machine knitting yarns in two colours. Note book & pen, optional.
