Tutor's Background
Sue is Managing Director of The Natural Fibre Company and Blacker Yarns and also has her own small flock of Gotland and coloured Blue-faced Leicester sheep. The Natural Fibre Company processes a very wide range of fleece and fibre from flocks and customers across Europe into knitting and weaving yarns and Blacker Yarns is their branded knitting yarn retailer of British breeds’ yarns and blends. Sue’s book, Pure Wool, describes individual sheep breeds, their fleeces and the resulting yarns together with patterns and appropriate designs for the style of yarn resulting from each type of wool.
