An excellent day with a great patient instructor. Marianne is well prepared, there are lots of choices of styles and pieces you can make. I managed to make 4 pieces with her guidance. It is a technique you can also do at home, so a really valuable course that is easy for all to do. I really can recommend it and will be back. Thank you for a great day.
Response from Grey Clouds & Silver Linings:Thank you, Jayne, I’m glad you enjoyed it. You made some lovely silver pendants, well done. Hopefully see you back again for more classes, watch out for a new class going online soon.
This was an excellent day of learning so many things about this innovative material, I made a pendant and earrings during the day which I am very happy with. They will be a gift for my daughter in law. Marianne was very patient but taught us so much during the day. We were given plenty of information about the tools and equipment needed to continue using silver clay in the future and information about where to purchase silver clay. We were also taught how to work with the clay and make different items, how to fire the clay with 3 different methods, how to polish and finish our items. It was a long and tiring day but extremely fulfilling. Thanks so much Marianne.
Response from Grey Clouds & Silver Linings:Thank you Siwan, I’m glad you enjoyed your day, you made a lovely set of jewellery. I hope you have been inspired to carry on with your silver clay journey and I look forward to seeing where it takes you.
Fab! Fab! Fab!
I really cannot rate this course any higher. I was so excited to have a go at making silver clay jewellery and was hoping to be pleased with my first attempt, but I have come away with pieces of jewellery that I am so proud of and would be happy to purchase from a shop.
Marianne is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, encouraging and patient. She is such a lovely lady, nothing was too much trouble and she was able to give each of us the attention we needed.
Her studio is a craft heaven! a very calm environment, I had such a lovely day and can't wait to do more at home.
Thank you Marianne
Response from Grey Clouds & Silver Linings:Thank you Helen, I'm pleased you enjoyed your day, you made some fantastic jewellery. I loved your bunny charm. I look forward to seeing what you make in the future.
I have attended this workshop today and I have arrived home buzzing from the all round experience ...I’m totally hooked. Marianne’s class was so relaxing and informative. She has a wealth of experience in the craft to share and nothing was too much trouble. She showed how to rectify small hitches in our work as we experimented with different techniques. It was a completely lovely day and we all took away some silver pieces to be proud of. I have now arranged a one to one workshop to polish my skills and knowledge.
I would highly recommend this beginners workshop.
Response from Grey Clouds & Silver Linings:Thank you Linda, I'm glad you enjoyed your day and are now a Silver Clay convert. I look forward to seeing where your silver clay journey takes you and working with you in the future.
Silver Clay Jewellery - what can I say? What a dream day. Marianne’s studio feels like a craft haven. She taught us how to make silver clay jewellery and tips and techniques. She has a vast knowledge and nothing was too much effort. She showed us how to fix things when they didn’t go to our design plans and ways of achieving what we wanted to make. Went away with 3 pieces of super jewellery and an excitement for doing more. Couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely recommend.
Marianne is an excellent tutor. Knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. She taught us at exactly the pace we needed to go. She is very professional, and friendly The workshop is an excellent teaching space - well laid out and well equipt but also relaxed. I was astonished by the quality of what we achieved in one day. Its excellent value for money.
A brilliant silver clay workshop. Marieanne is an excellent teacher and we all made beautiful pieces of jewellery to take home.
What a fabulous day! Relaxed but highly informative and I am now the proud owner of earrings and a pendant. I have truly amazed myself at what I have achieved with the aid of a very skilled tutor.
A huge thank you Marianne!
Fantastic workshop! Marianne taught us in a very professional and knowledgeable way the magic of turning a piece of clay into gorgeous silver items. Her studio is cleverly designed and has a lovely atmosphere. Marianne gives every student her undivided attention - and lots of useful advice. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I would highly recommend this course!
I would highly recommend this Silver Clay Course. Marianne made me feel at ease from the start, and was very professional. It was a relaxed day, but also very informative and I learnt a lot about the subject. I was very happy with the pieces I made, and the advise given on how to improve my techniques. I made 3 items with the amount of clay provided, and was taught 3 techniques. There was a lot of choice and I was encouraged to use my own choices regards to the wide range of materials, rather than being shown what to do. Great value for money and a very enjoyable day.
