Both beginners and experienced artists are welcome.

Staying in a 4* architect designed / converted chapel in Snowdonia - which definitely has the 'wow' factor.

Most rooms are ensuite and there is a sauna, games room, ample parking and amazing views from the large picture windows in the open plan living room.

Easily accessible by train (pick up can be arranged from Bangor Station).
Your tutor will be Donna Maria Taylor who is an experienced and qualified PGCE (PCET) tutor who has taught adults for over 25 years and is used to teaching a wide range of abilities using a wide range of mediums.

Donna lives in York where she regular teaches courses and workshops as well as working as a professional practising artist. She has exhibited and sold her work in a number of galleries in York and is a regular in York Open Studios.

During the 5 day residential course you will be working both inside and outside (weather dependant) in a variety of mediums (not oils)....collage, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, pen, pencils, ink.....or a mix of all of these depending on individual preferences.

Non-arty partners and friends are also welcome at a reduced cost (please ask for details)

Here's a review from one of the attendees in Autumn 2019

“I would thoroughly recommend this holiday to everyone - superb place, inspiring environment, great workshops, food and company”

"I attended this course in 2019. It is a superb venue with inspiring views out of every window. We were able to explore the landscape to make sketches and photographs. I particularly enjoyed the slate mine and abandoned cottages. Donna demonstrated a variety of expressive styles and media for us to create our own interpretations. It was good to share our ideas and discuss plans over wonderful meals together. The constantly changing cloudscape out of the windows or outside on a bench, gave wonderful moments of reflection. I travelled by train to Bangor, then collected by Donna, which was very good for a non- car owner".
