6 Week Beginner Silver Jewellery Course - Mon Evening in Yardley Hastings

Learn jewellery making in a creative and supportive environment. Work on 3 different projects over 6 weeks, learn a wealth of jewellery making techniques including forming, cutting, texturing and polishing and create at least 3 pieces of work from your own designs. November 2025 (6 weeks from 10th November). - Weeks 1-2: Using texturing and stamping techniques to make a wide ring, pendant or earrings (rolling, stamping, hammer textures, etc). - Weeks 3-4: Saw piercing – pendant. (I’ve got some nice flower and leaf templates but you might like to find some of your own). - Weeks 5-6: Cabochon bezel set ring stack or pendant (pre-made bezel cups and 6mm gemstones). Tutor: Joshua Chandler-Morris. Materials: In addition to your course fee (between £30-£60 depending on your designs and stones you choose). Level: suitable for total beginners or those with very little jewellery making experience.
What's included in the price?
Materials will be available to purchase from the tutor during the course, but if you would like to bring your own materials this information will be sent to you weekly, and will depend on your design and choice of stones. Maker
I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
