Welcome to Ridgeback forge. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join me in forge so you can hand forge a small knife with a 5" blade, and a finished and polished handle. You will be welcomed to the forge with a refreshing beverage and we will undertake the mandatory safety brief. Once that's out of the way, we'll light the forge and we'll get started. You will use a hammer and an anvil to forge the steel to shape so be ready for a bit of a workout. I will be on hand at all times to offer advice and encouragement but also to step in and help out if required. Once we're happy, we'll rough grind and heat treat and then it's on to the bevel grinding. Once you have a good looking knife, we'll add and shape a handle, clean and polish it and finally we'll machine sharpen it so you leave with an amazing and more importantly, functional knife that you can be proud of. The maximum course size to 2 people per day.
