His tips and techniques from sharpening tools to good turning techniques resulted in the production of a vase I was pleased to take home. I now have confidence to get woodturning again. "I did this course with my mum, neither of us are artistic, especially my mum who was actually quite anxious about doing something 'arty'. But Jo gave superb guidance throughout the day and we left with a beautiful hare each which we love. Jo was lovely, friendly and clearly very knowledgeable. Appearances from her dogs and husband made the day even more relaxed and fun. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone, even those who think they're not artistic. "

"This is a great course and it's really worth the time and money. Thatching is a big and fairly complicated topic but Toby broke it down for us so I think we all left feeling satisfied we had learned the basics. Toby is a lovely chap and a true master of his craft. The garden where he hosts the course is beautiful and the complimentary tea and cake really hit the spot after all that thatching!"

"My wife and I spent a lovely couple of hours with Pat who was friendly, patient and encouraging. I have to admit that my wife probably produced more interesting results than I did ( don't tell her I said that), but we both enjoyed the process immensely and were amazed at how quickly we could produce a reasonable bowl. We are really looking forward to collecting our fired pieces in a few weeks time. The only downside is that some of Pat's beautiful work was on display, and I can see it costing me a fortune when Christmas comes along ;-)"
