The finished stems can be assembled in a number of different ways for display. Develop basic skills and gain confidence with glass. No previous experience required. “I am delighted and amazed at what I achieved. I was a little apprehensive to work with glass but Kate instantly put me at my ease and I learned so much.” Tutors: Kate Billington / Lin Fletcher Kate started working with stained glass whilst studying for her Architecture Degree in Brighton. She subsequently trained to teach Design & Technology at secondary level and gained 14 years’ experience in that role. In 2011 she set up her own stained glass studio in Sheffield. As ‘Billigoat Designs’ she now takes on private commissions and restoration work. Kate delights in teaching and passing on her passion for the craft to others. Lin has been working with glass for over 20 years. She specialises in both lead and copper foil techniques; making, teaching and restoring. Along with a team of craftspeople, her most recent prestigious project has been the restoration of the windows at Manchester Town Hall - all 587 of them! She is passionate about stained glass and loves creating pieces she hopes will be cherished for decades.
