"Excellent course, informative with demo's and painting tasks that increase in difficulty as each new skill is learnt. Very well organised. "I have attended several of Lena's felt making courses, which speaks volumes about the quality of her workshops. Lena continues to push the boundaries in developing her own skills. She is an enthusiastic and talented artist and this is evident when you listen to her and watch how she works. I recently attended her net felted scarf session and with her help and patience, I came away with a beautiful item that has been admired by many."

Heather Edwards reviewed: Straw skep hive making course - with Bees for Development

"I don't keep bees at the minute but would like to at some point in the future. In light of this I decided to make a traditional skep as they are beautiful objects, however I soon realised I needed expert advice! The course run by Chris Park was excellent because he not only gave us the basics but he also added more complex techniques in as the day progressed. Excellent individual help too if needed and good advice, ensuring we came away at the end of the day feeling able to finish what we'd started. Chris also gave us interesting facts on skep making and bee keeping, including a power point presentation. All materials were provided (which we could take away with us at the end of the day), tea and coffee throughout, a delicious lunch including home made cake! A great venue. I can recommend this course to anyone wishing to make their first skep and anyone wishing to improve on skills already acquired. I thoroughly enjoyed my day."

"This was an intense 2 day course from an excellent teacher and accomplished artist. I particularly valued Bridget's fine art skills as well as her knowledge of wool and the felting process. Bridget was encouraging and reassuring and got the best out of all of her pupils. I would thoroughly recommend the course, whether you are a skilled artist/felter, or not."

Judith reviewed: Fabulous felt picture 2 day masterclass near York

"I would thoroughly recommend this 2 day course. Bridget is a great teacher and gave each person lots of one-to-one guidance. The small group size worked really well and each person was able to progress at their own pace. I was very happy with the picture I managed to produce and have had lots of positive comments from friends who have seen it. It was really interesting watching the pictures each of the other participants created taking shape over the 2 days. I would love to do another of Bridget's courses in the future."

Karen reviewed: Beginner's Candle Making Private Workshop - Marlow, Buckinghamshire

"I went on a candle-making course ran by Sarah on 24 February. It was my first experience with candle-making but really interesting and fun. First we learnt about all about the different sorts of waxes before trying our hand at making different types of candles. Sarah's clear instructions and waxes readily to hand made the whole process really easy. The group was small enough to ensure everyone could follow what happening and we all enjoyed comparing our results! Thanks Sarah for a great morning."

Mary Anne Robbins reviewed: Group Soap-making Workshop - Soapology Studio - Nottinghamshire

"Had a wonderful day with Emma on her soap making course, this is something I have been wanting to do for years! She gave us a excellent hand out & talked us through it explaining all the science & calculations while still keeping our interest. After all the theory, cake & lunch we got down to the actual making of soap. With help & guidance from Emma we all made 3 batches of soap, giving us the opportunity to try different colours, essential oils & effects. I would recommend this course to budding soap makers & as well as people who just want to have a fun day trying out a new craft. Emma also runs more advanced courses, which I will be back to learn some more."

Beverley and Mark Warwick reviewed: Blacksmith forgework Learning Experience Day

"The whole day was so much better than we expected. We were the only two on the course and the day started with a cup of tea and a chat about we wanted to make. Our ideas soon developed into a project for a beer bottle/wine bottle or glass holder on a spike for the garden, plus a poker for our log burner. Daren came up with an ingenious design for the beer glass holder and Robin measured all types and sizes of glasses and bottles to a make it the correct size. We learnt about how the hot metal had to be worked to make lovely twists and twirls. Anyone could do this, don't be afraid to give it a try. We can't wait to go back again for another superb day with the wonderful guys at Cowpe and Robin's lovely wife Sue who looked after us so well."

"Yesterday I attended the willow basket weaving workshop here with Deb Hart. It was really good fun and everyone managed to produce a basket! This is the second workshop I have done here with Deb and both have been lovely experiences. Brian and Julie provide a warm and welcoming venue with an excellent and plentiful supply of food and beverages. My gluten free diet was no problem at all. Deb's teaching was inclusive and cheerful and when any of the group needed help she was there to get us on track again. Thank you all for a fun and productive day. I will be back. X Jayne"
