lee reviewed: Introduction to Spoon Carving

"Had a great day with Chris, spoon carving in his woods. I felt welcome and at ease, with Chris being a very friendly guy. I learned some very useful techniques and gained some more ideas on what can be achieved, with various tools and wood. Chris has also opened my eyes up to what other types of woodland craftwork that can be learned/enjoyed. A really enjoyable and informative day, that I would recommend to anyone interested in woodland crafts."

"What a wonderful day. Dunja imparts her knowledge in a way that makes it interesting and enjoyable and you learn such a lot without really realising it. The setting is beautiful and Dunja and Brian are very welcoming. This was a birthday treat for my sister and we spent a lovely relaxing day together learning new skills. Everything you need to get started is available to buy should you wish to and you come away creatively inspired. Thank you Dunja and Brian."

Loraine reviewed: Jane's Nice & Easy Crochet Workshops

"As a competent knitter, I was envious of those who could crochet, until one day I met a lady who raved about Jane. I booked myself a 1:1 starter session and haven't looked back! I first met Jane for the first time 2 1/2 years ago and following the starter session, joined a 6-week beginners workshop, which turned into an intermediate group. I can thoroughly recommend Jane's sessions, whether 1:1 or small group and whether you are a complete beginner or need to refresh you skills. Jane tailors her style and content to the needs of her students and provides demonstrations of various stitches to help continuous improvement and the ability to read patterns. Jane is incredibly patient, talented and knowledgable as well as a truly lovely lady."

Mark Bell reviewed: 5 Week Intermediate/Advanced Jewellery Making Class at Jewellery Workshop Leeds

"This course was fantastic. Continuing on fluently from the beginners course, Bernard coaches you through more advanced techniques with his usual patient and affable manner. Again the course is very hands on with most of your time spent over a huge vice, soldering station or jewellers bench. Highly recommended to those who want to go one step further along the road of jewellery making. Awesome!"

"In this course things step up a gear and you get into some more advanced techniques which Bernard guides you through with his wealth of experience and gentle but efficient manner. Dan Smith reviewed: 6 wk Mixed Level Jewellery Making at Jewellery Workshop Leeds

"Bernard and Jane are really nice - helpful and very knowledgable with a wealth of experience which they are willing to share. The workshop is well equipped and designed so you always have space to work regardless of class size. The atmosphere of the classes is relaxed, creative and supportive but with Bernard and Jane leading it it wouldn't be anything else. The cost of this course is a total bargain, if you are thinking of doing this, just stop thinking now and get it done or you'll regret it."

Dave Curno reviewed: Green wood creative seating course (6 Days)

"What a great course, so much learnt about green woodworking and the techniques needed to build a wide variety of furniture. At the start of the week the idea of producing a piece of furniture can seem daunting but Peter encourages and guides you in the right direction in his own unassuming manner. The tools and instruction are top quality and by the end of the six days you will have created a unique seat of your very own. Anyone can do this course and will find it relaxing, absorbing and totally satisfying. Very highly recommended."

Paul Bloxham reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"My wife bought me a day with Mark as a present. I bought a lathe six months ago but having last operated one at school 40+ years ago I had neither the confidence or the knowledge with which to use it! Have to say I cannot believe how much Mark taught me in a day. In a structured way he covered all areas in the right level of detail for me and in a style that was easy to relate to. Mark's workshop is well equipped and importantly there was plenty of hands on use of the lathe as well as tool sharpening and finishing. Throughout the the day there was a lot's of practical and money saving tips which are so important to the beginner. Overall I had a great day and went away having learnt far more than I expected to. Also having gained in confidence and with some of Mark's enthusiasm having rubbed off. Would definitely recommend Mark and hope to be back for more!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I have no previous experience of jewellery making but had always wanted to give it a try. Teresa taught us the process from start to finish, one step at a time and was always on hand to offer the support needed and to ask questions. A natural teacher and very knowledgeable when it comes to the subject. I got to make and bring home 3 pieces of jewellery. I would definitely recommend this workshop."

Peter Taylor reviewed: Whittling course

"Recently attended this course on the 24th may. A great day and a lot of fun. It was my first experience in whittling and I will be sure to be continuing it as a cherished hobby. Martin was great at explaining everything and because of the small group I felt comfortable enough to ask him to repeat information I didn't fully understand. I am a vegan so martin was great to accommodate me by providing a delicious home made soup and bread. I would Highly recommend this course to anyone looking to gain all the knowledge you need to go off and confidently start whittling yourself."
