"I love my Thursday evenings at The Clay Studio, and really look forward to it each week. The studio space is really well-thought out and equipped and there are great glaze and slip colours to choose from. Everyone is friendly and it has a relaxed atmosphere. You can go at your own pace, try the projects offered each term and get plenty of inspiration from all the wonderful pieces on display around the studio. Thoroughly recommended."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my one day workshop with Lucy. I made a beautiful set of 3 stacked silver rings. Lucy has a great way of teaching which is well paced, relaxed which made the workshop a very enjoyable way to learn. I also really enjoyed Lucy's company. The location too of the workshop is ideal and relaxing. I would definitely recommend Lucy's workshop and I hope to find another project with which to return. Thank you Lucy :)"

"My 12 year old son and myself went to a couple of workshops at Terra Mia UK, it was great and I highly recommend going there. The teacher is excellent and we both managed to make very nice pieces under her careful guidance even if we were inexperienced. The setting is very pleasant with a homely feel and the classes are small which gives a one to one feeling. The combination of the quality of the teaching, the craft learned and the setting makes it a very creative and relaxing workshop."

"I highly recommend Ria. I asked for a bespoke workshop and had a fantastic time learning exactly what I had hoped to learn. Nothing was too much trouble and I left feeling totally inspired to try screen printing on my own (as well as a cushion for my daughter who was absolutely delighted with it). I can imagine this would also be great fun as a workshop with friends. Definitely a great day."

"I have done two courses with Margaret and thoroughly enjoyed both. I would highly recommend her. I made a felt button and a sinnamay hat. I wore my felt button at a W.I. function where quite a few people complimented me on the creation. There were four members of the WI who signed up for one of Margaret's courses and we all had a good time. For anyone with a special occasion I would definitely recommend you try Margaret's courses."

"A fantastic day spent with a lovely bunch of people in beautiful surroundings, with delicious home-cooked food. Ade is a fantastic teacher, with a huge amount of patience (even for lefties!). It was fascinating to get to understand the process of carving and to watch an expert do it. The course content was ideal and it was great to come away from the day with an actual spoon. "I attended this mixed media workshop, run by the very talented Nikki, to enjoy something a little different. The whole day passed in a flash! Each step was taught clearly and with much encouragement. The results by everyone in the group were outstanding with the result that left you wanting to do much more. I highly recommend that if you are considering booking a workshop with Nikki that you go ahead. A guaranteed day of fun with a treasure to take home. Definitely will be back!"

"Very enjoyable felting workshop at Dalkeith Country Park. Good venue. Jo was very friendly and the course was a great introduction to needle felting with an excellent range of materials available. It was very satisfying to be able to produce something worth framing in just 3 hours! The only significant disappointment was that there were no original examples of Jo's work to view; I had very much been looking forward to seeing these and I am sure they would have been inspirational."

"My daughter bought me this course as a Christmas present and I have to say, it was as perfect as a present could be! I really enjoyed making my fascinator. Margaret provided all of the materials and there was plenty of time to complete the task. It was so lovely to wear my fascinator whilst enjoying my afternoon tea too! Excellent course and a fabulous course leader. Five stars!!"

"I took part in the course when Margaret ran it at the Bowes museum. Fabulous course, I loved making my own fascinator! Margaret was very patient, as I’m not a very good sewer! Was really pleased with the end result and enjoyed my cream tea too! Would definitely recommend this course, especially for beginners!"

The great thing about this course is that it is suitable for complete and utter beginners - even those with very limited sewing experience can produce a very pretty headpiece during the afternoon. As such it the workshop would present a great “bonding” opportunity - such as a hen party, pre-prom, works’ do, etc.. Whether or not a cream tea is included depends on the location - this particular course was held at The Bowes Museum, and so was rounded off with a cream tea, and as it said in your review Kayleigh, this makes for a very satisying afternoon, all round. "Together with my daughter we had a wonderful time making silver clay jewellery. It was an amazing experience to design and create our own pieces. The whole process was very relaxing and almost magical. Tuuli was very patient and friendly when sharing her knowledge and giving ideas.
