Myles Jackson reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"Fantastic I cannot recommend this one to one welding course, hosted by Tony enough. Having turned up a complete novice, he talked me through all of the steps of mig welding and within no time at all I was managing to perform a range of types of welds. I cannot believe how much I learnt in the day. Absolute champion! Thanks again, Tony!"

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Hi Myles, I am very happy you enjoyed the course . Keep practicing the welding and you will be creating things from metal in a very short time. If you require any advice when purchasing your own mig welder or any equipment please contact me. Regards Tony ."

"I've always wanted to learn how to weld. After being on the Welding for beginners course I can now use an Arc welder and a Mig Welder. My welds are completely rubbish, but I know how to use the machines which I was slightly in awe of before the course. A great day learning the basics. "

Kate mitchyn reviewed: Hand Embroidery Winter Berry workshop with Rachel Davies

"Had course as a Christmas present from my husband and what a lovely one it was. I had a brilliant time. Rachel is so welcoming, explaining everything in detail step by step. All course materials were provided even down to the bead needle being threaded for you. No question felt like a stupid one and Rachel was full of advice to add extra details to your work. Well worth the cost, in a beautiful settling with a tutor who was very well prepared and is a lovely person. I will certainly be doing some courses in the future. Thank you Rachel was a fantastic introduction to a type of embroidery that I have never done before."

Rachel Davies Studio responded:

"Hi Kate, thankyou so much for your lovely review.I always go through the whole workshop in my head to consider where there might be aspects where anyone might struggle, so yes, beading needles can be fiddly! Thankyou for noticing! Im so glad you enjoyed your day. I do really look forward to seeing you again. There is a workshop each month for 2025 from Feb through to June, so lots to choose from. thankyou again . Very best wishes, Rachel"

Lynn reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"This was a new experience for us which we thoroughly enjoyed. Sebastian is a knowledgeable and patient teacher. We learnt a great deal. One tip as a complete novice to stone carving - choose a reasonably soft stone to work on, or at least a stone that is similar in consistency to your practice stone. It makes carving a lot easier."

Kate Forbes reviewed: Sari bags

"This was a really good course - the tutor was very knowledgeable, well prepped, patient, friendly and had a huge amount of fabrics to choose from. She has a background in art teaching, and it shows. The lunch provided - freshly cooked warm salads and home-made cake - deserves a special 5* all of its own! I'd say it's probably best aimed at people who've already got some experience with textiles/sewing machines. With my very limited skill set, I found it quite an ambitious project for 5.5 hours, and didn't come close to finishing in time unfortunately. Others in the group did make some beautiful bags though. "
