Antoinette Pincott reviewed: Home Retreat: Colour for ultimate well being - discover the power of colour!

"Lucy's course provided a riches of wealth in terms of looking at colour in so many ways, to enhance wellbeing and spirit. From food to conscious focusing, from herbal and essentials oils to states of mind. Fiona’a input on clothes, makeup and presence was an additional rich layer of what was a truly uplifting day of giving back to yourself by finding ways to enhance your enjoyment of life, whether in a small or a big way. Delicious lunch in beautiful surroundings. Lucy also attracts giving and supportive fellow course attendees, whose kindness and laughter make her workshop days really special."

Gilly Mills reviewed: Introduction to container candle making half day in Henstridge near Stalbridge Dorset Somerset

"I signed up for this workshop because I buy a lot of candles and thought it might be fun to try making my own for a change. It was such a good decision - Sally is the perfect tutor and makes the workshop a truly creative and informative occasion. I would recommend it for anyone who fancies trying something a little "crafty" - no previous experience required! I came home with three gorgeous smelling candles, one in my own cup and saucer which I am thrilled to display in my bathroom."

"I attended Jo’s course yesterday. It was fantastic. It was so interesting learning about the different waxes and how they react to the environment when melted. I loved the variety of essential oils that I was able to choose from for my candles. Can’t recommend this course enough. Going to revisit later in the year. Thank you so much Jo for a wonderful day."

Samantha Gale reviewed: Introduction to Table Loom Weaving, Crawley Village Hall, Hampshire - Two Day Workshop

"This course has sparked a new hobby for me, and those are rare. Ellie was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate but explained everything in a clear and easy to understand way. She even spent ten minutes cutting thread for my tassles so I wouldn't be short on weaving time. It was the perfect balance of guidance and letting me go at it, and I enjoyed it immensely. I would recommend this course to absolutely anyone interested."

Elka responded:

"Thank you so much for the lovey review Samantha. I'm so happy that you enjoyed the workshop, your piece was absolutely fantastic! Happy weaving :)"

Julie reviewed: Hand Spinning - Next Steps

"A fabulous course which is perfect for those who have attended the introduction to spinning or who are self-taught spinners who want to develop their skills and knowledge. I learned so much more about my spinning wheel, fibres, spinning, different techniques of joining and plying and washing the skeins. Gina is a fabulous teacher, answering questions and queries with easy to understand answers and provides information to take home to refer to. The homemade cakes were a fabulous half time treat too. Thank you Gina"

Woolly Workshop responded:

Richard White reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"This was an excellent course. Debbie, Adrian and Andy created and maintained a very welcoming and inclusive atmosphere throughout the day with great food and refreshments. The workshop provided plenty of space for the group with all the necessary tools and equipment readily available when needed. Adrian's initial explanations and demonstrations of the tasks were clear and concise enabling participants to get on with them, in their own time, at their own pace, with support and advice available as and when required. The first task was a really useful exercise in developing a basic understanding and experience of working with the tools and materials before moving on to apply and develop these techniques to make the second piece. In short, this was a really good day with lots of new experiences culminating in the creation of two unique pieces of work. Very enjoyable and highly recommended."

Tim Just reviewed: Spoon carving course - from log to spoon with Jeffrey Hart

"Great relaxed course. The day and activities were well thought out and whilst seemingly out of order the logic of not handing everybody a log and an axe in the first 10 mins was pretty sound! The days' plan also allowed for everybody to work at their own pace to produce one or two spoons. I think most people were so inspired that they ordered new knives and maybe axes as soon as they got home."

Andrew D Broadbent reviewed: Blacksmithing for Beginners - Full Day Forging for One

"Could not recommend this course enough. Chris puts you at ease straight away and his teaching style is excellent. You learn different techniques by going through different stages of making a leaf key ring. Chris makes one at the same time showing you how to do it and explaining the process, then you work on your own piece. After we had lunch I then made a letter opener using the techniques I had learned in the morning. Chris just explained what was required and away I went. I came home with a Letter opener and a leaf key ring in my pocket, and I am so pleased that I produced these two items out of solid bar."

"I attended this workshop with my daughter and can honestly say if was fantastic. I have taken lots of craft courses and my daughter is an artist so we thought we would be easy. Lampworking requires a great deal of skill, however Suzanne was very patient and calm offering all the support we needed. Our beads then arrived in the post like little jewels. No faults at all and will definitely try and do this again."
