Woven bark craft.
Weave yourself a beautiful foraging bag, from locally harvested willow bark.
Bark is a fantastic material that is can be harvested from the tree in the spring and summer time and can be processed and made into beautiful, functional objects.
On this course we will look at a selection of different barks from my collection and I will show you items that can be made from them.
We will work from already peeled willow bark, which you will then cut and process and weave into a small foraging bag. We will create a handle of your choice out of leather or wool.
Bark continues to amaze me with its versatility and you will go away wishing for the spring when you can get peeling materials again!!

An excellent intro to bark craft. It was really therapeutic working with natural materials in the forest and the finished results were all unique and beautiful.
We had plenty of info on techniques and materials and as much or little intervention from Nadine as we wanted. We all worked at our own pace but everyone left with a beautifully finished woven pouch.
