Description

Learn how to thrive in the woods during the coldest months. This hands-on day will cover wet-weather firelighting, natural cordage, and practical camp crafts, while also exploring how to stay warm and comfortable outdoors. Part of our seasonal bushcraft series, this course uses the resources winter provides to teach essential woodland skills. You’ll identify useful trees and plants, collect and prepare natural materials, explore foraging opportunities and the traditional uses of different species. Each course combines firelighting, natural cordage, and a practical craft project, adapted to the plants, fibres, and materials available in that season. By the end of the day, you’ll leave with new skills, greater confidence, and a deeper connection to the woodland.
