Still Life in Oils

This workshop will focus on creating dramatic colour and light. It will be suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced as there will be something for everyone to learn. We will be using a limited palette of bright pigments and Catherine will show you how to prepare a still life set up, plan and mix your palette, then work systematically to create a vibrant painting. What to bring: A packed lunch Objects for a still life; For example: jugs, bottles, fruit, bowls. Ideally a mix of colours & shapes, but try to keep them fairly straightforward. A selection of oil brushes. Jacksonsart.com do a great selection, ideally Filbert shape in a variety of sizes. A portable or table top easel if you would like to use your own or we have several here which you can use. Odourless thinner & painting rags Linseed oil Palette Palette knife Apron or smock

If, having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer you to another workshop. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us using. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date.
