Discover the Colourful World of Still Life Oil Painting in this 2 day retreat We will cover colour theory and traditional oil painting techniques, whilst painting a still life with wild flowers picked from the Denmark Farm Nature Reserve. A wonderful opportunity for two days of expert tuition from professional artist Subhash Singh. Explore the topics below in a relaxed and peaceful environment: - colour mixing and colour values - composition and perspective - light & shade and tone values - form and relationships between objects - brushwork techniques The focus is on achieving a finished oil painting by the end of the second day. Tutor: Subhash Singh Subhash studied oil painting in India and has been teaching his own workshops in London as well as in the US. Now living in West Wales Subhash is creating his new studio and looking forward to sharing his skills with you. Face to face tuition, refreshments Please bring - 10-12 pack oil paints + an extra tube of white paint: - Flat / soft hair oil painting brushes: a good range of sizes is important e.g. no. 2, no.6, no.10 & no.12 (see links to suppliers on our website) - A medium-large sized glass jar (to clean your brushes in) - Steel wool scrubber - Cotton rag for brush cleaning - Your lunch and snacks. - £10 cash to cover the cost of the canvas board and some other materials which will be supplied for you
