In this workshop you will be looking at the factors that make up a still-life painting. Working from a photograph you will explore all the basics of oil painting to get you started in this exciting painting medium. This class is suitable for beginners and intermediates. More about Still Life in a Day: During this workshop, your tutor will guide you through a still life painting from a photograph. He will demonstrate every step of the way so that the teaching is as clear as can be. This will cover drawing skills, technical advice on how to use paint thinners and painting mediums and colour mixing. By the end of the day, you will take home a completed still life painting. This will be a fun and interesting workshop with a tutor with years of experience in teaching all levels of painters including beginners.

If you have paints that you enjoy working with, please bring those. A list of colours will be provided with your booking confirmation. Please bring your own brushes with you - bristle filbert brushes are the most versatile for oil painting plus a few soft synthetic brushes for blending are recommended. Fresh, delicious home-cooked lunch and all refreshments.
