Join experienced jeweller/goldsmith Lindsay Forbes, jeweller and founder of Laconic jewellery, as she guides you this beginner's course to make your choice of blossom earrings or necklace in eco sterling silver.
You’ll learn how to cut discs (before using mostly ready made discs) to then dome to form your ‘blossoms’.
Basic filing and emery techniques will be taught to tidy up these before attaching to your wire pins, that you’ll craft yourself.
Learn how to cut and form wire using heat to create these headpins to attach your ‘blossom’ shapes onto.
You can choose whether to create your own necklace or earrings.
In either case, you’ll be shown how to make your own ear hooks and how to attach jewellery findings to finish off your piece before polishing.
In this course, you will practise using copper wire to experiment with shape and texture and practise soldering and wire working skills.
Once you’ve learned the techniques you’ll then make your chosen item in sterling silver.
You can expect to make x1 pendant (with chain) OR x1 pair of earrings in recycled sterling silver.
